The scoreless affair for both teams is the first for the Ichabods since the 2015 season when Washburn tied with Rockhurst University after two overtimes.

The Ichabods outshot the Miners 10-4 in the game but were unable to put one in the back of the net for the first time all season.

Defensively Washburn kept Missouri S&T in check, especially early on, holding the visitors to just one shot in the first half and one shot on goal in the entire match.

In goal, Raegan Wells recorded one save in the scoreless game. It was her second straight solo shutout and third in four games on the year.

After taking four shots in the first 45 minutes the Ichabods' offense perked up in the second half with six shots, but still came up empty.

The defensive game was also a physical one as six yellow cards were called in the second half, three against each side, including three inside the final five minutes of the game.

Khloe Schuckman paced Washburn with four total shots in the game, with one coming on goal.

Jaedyn Johnson was the only other Ichabod with more than one attempt as she logged the other shot on goal.

In goal for the Miners, Viktoria Johnson recorded two saves in a solo shutout effort.

Olivia Olson recorded the only shot on goal while Sydney Gratz had the most shots with two.

With the draw, the Ichabods begin the season unbeaten through four games for the second consecutive year.

Washburn will stay at home for a 6 p.m. contest against Emporia State Friday.
