Valdivia, a senior, and Alonzo, a junior, earned individual medals in the Class 5A state tournament while Badsky, a junior, earned his third straight individual medal in the 3A state meet.

Washburn Rural, which won its 13th straight city team championship, is represented on the All-Shawnee County team by seniors Andrew Burdett and Bryan Tyrell and junior Hayden Glynn while Shawnee Heights senior Tyler Lincoln and Rossville sophomore Jonathan Hart round out the eight-member first team.

Lincoln was the 2023 city individual champion while Hart placed fifth individually in the 3A state tournament and led the Bulldawgs to a fifth-place team finish.

All-Shawnee County capsules:

MYLES ALONZO, Topeka West -- A junior, Alonzo shot a 36-hole score of 143 to tie for 12th in the Class 5A state tournament, earning his second state medal. Alonzo finished second in the city tournament with an 80, tied for third in the United Kansas Conference meet with a 77 and tied for third in 5A regional competition with a 79..

BRYCE BADSKY, Silver Lake -- Badsky, a junior, earned a Class 3A state medal for the third straight season, shooting a 36-hole score of 157 to tie for 16th place. Badsky took medalist honors in the Mid-East League Tournament with an 80 and also captured an individual regional championship with a 77.

ANDREW BURDETT, Washburn Rural -- Burdett, a senior, was a second-team all-county pick as a junior. Burdett tied for third in the Centennial League tournament with a 75 and tied for fourth in the city meet with an 82 as the Junior Blues won the team title in both of those events. Burdett shot an 82 at state.

HAYDEN GLYNN, Washburn Rural -- A junior, Glynn advanced to the second round of the 6A state tournament with a first-round 77 and finished at 162. Glynn tied for sixth in the Centennial League tournament with a 79, placed eighth in the city meet with an 85 and tied for ninth in 6A regional competition with an 81.

JONATHAN HART, Rossville -- Hart capped his sophomore season with a fifth-place finish in the Class 3A state tournament, shooting rounds of 79 and 71 as the Bulldawgs finished fifth as a team. Hart tied for second in the Mid-East League tournament with an 85 as Rossville won the league team title and tied for fourth at regionals (80).

TYLER LINCOLN, Shawnee Heights -- Lincoln, a senior, shot an 80 to take city medalist honors in a playoff and finished second to teammate Valdivia in Class 5A regional competition with a 74 as Shawnee Heights won the regional team championship by 26 strokes to qualify for state as a team.

BRYAN TYRELL, Washburn Rural -- A senior, Tyrell advanced to the final day of the Class 6A state tournament, tying for 31st at 152. Tyrell tied for the Centennial League title with a 74 and finished second in a sudden death playoff as Rural won the team title by 21 strokes. Tyrell tied for fourth at regionals with a 79.

ALEX VALDIVIA, Shawnee Heights -- A senior, Valdivia took medalist honors in the United Kansas Conference tournament for the second straight season with a 75 and won the regional title with a 72, leading the T-Birds to the team championship by 26 strokes. Valdivia tied for fourth in the city tournament (82) after winning the city title as a junior..
