ADYSEN BURGHART, Shawnee Heights

A 5-foot-8 senior, Burghart earned All-United Kansas Conference honorable mention last season after helping lead the T-Birds to an 11-11 record. Burghart ranked among the city leaders in free throw shooting (72.9%) and steals (2.0). Burghart has cracked double figures in all three games for 1-2 Heights this season, averaging 13.3 points.

NiJaree Canady 2

NiJAREE CANADY, Topeka High

Canady, a 6-foot junior, was a first-team Kansas Basketball Coaches Association All-Class 6A selection last season and was the Centennial League player of the year after averaging 18.8 points and 10.2 rebounds for the 23-0 Trojans. Canady has averaged 19.5 points, 12 rebounds and 2.5 steals this season as 3-0 Topeka High has stretched its win streak to 26 games.

Ichabods’ Barrientos: From Spain with game

When Nuria Barrientos, a native of Barcelona, Spain, first arrived in the United States to play for Division I Idaho State she had major adjustments to make both on and off the basketball court.
