Shawnee Heights improved to 7-1 on the season with its fourth straight victory, rolling to an 82-58 United Kansas Conference road victory at Turner.

The T-Birds put the Bears away (0-8, 0-3) with a 26-11 first-quarter onslaught and led 41-25 at halftime and 56-37 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Sophomore Brennon Dodge led Shawnee Heights, 3-0 in the UKC, with 17 points while senior Carter Olson added 14 points and 13 rebounds and junior Jeremyah Kendrick 10 points. 

Twelve players cracked the scoring column for the T-Birds.

ST. MARYS BOYS 73, ROSSVILLE 33 -- Keller Hurla turned in a 33-point performance and Fred Criqui added 10 points as St. Marys improved to 8-1 with its seventh straight victory, 73-33 over Rossville.

St. Marys led 17-6 after one quarter and the Bears put the Bulldawgs away with a 27-11 second quarter. St. Marys led 67-27 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Junior Kade Perine led the Bulldawgs (1-8) with 16 points.

OLATHE HERITAGE CHRISTIAN BOYS 76, CAIR PARAVEL LATIN 75 -- Cair Paravel Latin had its five-game winning streak snapped in heartbreaking fashion, with the Olathe Heritage Christian Chargers pulling out a 76-75 victory.

Friday's game was a back and forth affair, with Cair Paravel (5-2) leading 21-20 at the end of the opening quarter before the Chargers rallied for a 45-37 halftime edge with a 25-16 second quarter.

Cair Paravel answered with a 23-7 third quarter to take a 60-52 lead into the fourth period, but Heritage Christian (5-3) outscored the Lions 24-15 the rest of the way to pull out the one-point decision.

Cair Paravel had five double-figure scorers on the night, led by senior Zach Clark with 19 points.

Noah Hastert added 14 points for the Lions while Carter Brian had 12 points and Ethan Everhart and Evan Will 11 points apiece.
