Washburn University will induct its 2024 Hall of Fame class on Saturday in a ceremony prior to the 3 p.m. Ichabod football game with Northwest Missouri.
Entering the Hall of Fame will be five individuals who were all selected as All-Americans, All-MIAA and school record-holders during their Ichabod careers.
The newest inductees include Trent Hearn (football), Marissa (Cox) Horstick (volleyball), Mollie Lacy (volleyball), Tish Williams (softball) and Jemi Johnson (basketball).
The 2000-01 Ichabod men's basketball team, which advanced to the national championship game will also be inducted.

Trent Hearn, Washburn football
Trent Hearn – football – 2002-06
Hearn finished his Ichabod career as the all-time leading rusher in program history with 3,154 yards and now ranks third. He scored 48 career rushing touchdowns on the ground as an Ichabod, which is the most rushing touchdowns in program history by 13 over the next-closest person. He still owns the Ichabod single-season record with 1,203 rushing yards set in 2005, the year the Ichabods won the MIAA Championship and made their first NCAA Playoff appearance.
Hearn also ranks fifth on the single-season rushing chart with 1,116 yards in 2003 and his 111.6 rushing yards per game for a season in 2003 is ranked second all-time. The 20 touchdowns he scored in 2005 is No. 1 on the Ichabod single-season chart and it set the junior class season rushing record. He finished his Ichabod career with 12 100-yard rushing games and he is still the Ichabods' all-time leading scorer with 296 points, scoring 49 total touchdowns.
He was named the Ichabod team MVP in both 2005 and 2006 and was a third-team all-region selection in 2005, an honorable mention all-region pick in 2003 while also earning the MIAA Freshman of the Year award in 2003. He was also a second-team all-MIAA selection in 2003, 2005 and 2006.
Marissa (Cox) Horstick, Washburn volleyball
Marissa (Cox) Horstick – volleyball – 2011-14
Horstick was a first-team American Volleyball Coaches Association and a second team Daktronics All-American selection in 2013 after earning honorable mention All-American honors in 2014. She was a first team All-MIAA selection in 2013 and 2014.
Her 1,254 career kills rank 14th on the all-time chart at Washburn and she owns the school record for the most kills in a single MIAA Tournament match with 27. Her .318 attack percentage ranks eighth on the career chart at Washburn and her 327 total blocks is 18th.
She is one of 18 members of the Ichabod 1,000 kill club at Washburn and one of 10 to have 1,000 kills and 300 blocks in a career.
Mollie Lacy, Washburn volleyball
Mollie Lacy – volleyball – 2008-11
Lacy earned American Volleyball Coaches Association Honorable Mention All-American honors in 2009, finishing her career as the all-time leader in career hitting percentage at .365 for those with at least 2,000 career attempts. In her four seasons, Lacy had at the time her career ended four of the top five single-season attack percentage averages in program history. Her .405 hitting percentage stood as the top single-season mark for 13 years and she is one of only two Ichabods to hit above .400 in a single season.
Lacy finished her career with 1,220 kills while averaging 0.71 blocks per set and 2.58 kills per set.
In the classroom, she was a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-American as a senior, earning second-team All-American honors as a junior. A four-time MIAA Scholar Athlete selection and a four-time MIAA Academic Excellence Award winner, Lacy graduated with a 4.0 grade point average.
Overall, she was a three-time first-team All-MIAA selection, earning third team in 2008 as a freshman. She was also a two-time AVCA first-team all-region pick, earning honorable mention honors in 2011. She was part of the 2010 and 2011 MIAA regular-season championship teams and was on four NCAA regional teams.
Tish Williams, Washburn softball
Tish Williams – foftball – 2006-10
Williams finished her Ichabod career as the Washburn and the MIAA's all-time leader in home runs with 61, ranking third on the NCAA Division II list when her career ended and currently ranking 13th overall in Division II history. Her 496 career total bases was second in NCAA history at the end of her career.
Williams is Washburn's all-time leader in slugging percentage, on base percentage, total bases, walks and ranks second in RBI, hits, assists and third in batting average.
Williams has the first, second, third and ninth-best single-season slugging percentages in program history and the first, second, fifth and ninth most home runs in a single season. Williams was named the MIAA Freshman of the Year and was the MIAA's Offensive Player of the Year as a junior earning first-team all-MIAA honors and was a three-time all-region selection overall.
Jemi Johnson, Washburn basketball
Jemi Johnson – basketball – 1992-95
Johnson scored 1,215 points in three years as an Ichabod which ranked sixth on the Washburn scoring chart when his career ended and he now ranks 16th overall. Johnson is Washburn's all-time leader in points and rebounds for three-year players at Washburn.
Johnson as a first-team All-MIAA selection as a senior after averaging 18.9 points per game and was an honorable mention All-MIAA selection as a junior. A member of the 1994 NCAA national semifinalists and the 1993 NCAA national quarterfinalist teams, Johnson scored 18 points in the semifinal contest.
He played on NCAA tournament teams each season as an Ichabod and was part of the MIAA regular-season championship squad all three years as an Ichabod and two MIAA Tournament championship teams. Johnson finished his career as the Ichabods' all-time leader in NCAA tournament points with 117 in eight games.

2000-01 Washburn Ichabod men's basketball team
The 2000-01 Washburn Ichabod men's basketball team was the first NCAA squad to reach the NCAA championship game after completing a 29-5 season and winning both the MIAA regular-season (15-3) and the MIAA Tournament championships.
The Ichabods beat Northwest Missouri four times that season, including an 81-74 win in the MIAA tournament finals in Topeka and a 67-61 NCAA regional tournament victory in Topeka.
At the Elite Eight, Washburn topped Johnson C. Smith 70-64 in the national quarterfinals before topping Western Washington 96-90 in the semifinals, avenging a 72-70 loss to the Vikings in an early-season match up in Las Vegas. The Ichabods fell to Kentucky Wesleyan in the national championship game, 72-63.
The Ichabod squad averaged 80 points per game, with four Ichabods averaging double figures, including All-American Ewan Auguste at 15.5 points per game with 7.6 rebounds per game. Ryan Murphy averaged 13.2 points and 5.6 rebounds coming off the bench while Randolph Williams scored 13.2 points and 4.3 rebounds and Eric Carter averaged 11.1 points and 4.4 rebounds. Shannon Kruger led the team in 3-point shooting, hitting 54 of 128 attempts while leading the team with 101 assists.
The Ichabods were led by Washburn Hall of Fame coach Bob Chipman.
