The Washburn Athletic Department has announced its 2025 Hall of Fame class, which will be enshrined on Oct. 18 in a brunch ceremony prior to the Ichabod home football game with Central Missouri.

The 2025 Hall of Fame class includes four individuals, including a current head coach and a complete team.

The newest inductees include Jenna Hatlestad (women's soccer), Steve Ivanisevic (football), Matt Warnock (golf), current Ichabod volleyball coach Chris Herron and Herron's 2007 Washburn volleyball team.

• The 2010 MIAA's Special Teams Player of the Year after leading the MIAA in field goal percentage hitting 16 of 18 attempts including a season-high 49 yard attempt.
• Connected on all 50 of his extra point attempts.
• Finished third in the MIAA in scoring averaging 8.2 points per game accounting for 98 points on the season for the Ichabods. He led the MIAA kick-scorers as well.
• Finished 11th in the nation in field goals per game at 1.33 and 30th in the nation in scoring.
• Tied his own school record with four field goals in a single game against Nebraska-Omaha and he averaged 60.6 yards per kickoff with 11 touchbacks.
• Was 7 of 8 on field goals between 30 and 39 yards and 3 of 4 on attempts between 40 and 49 yards.
• A perfect 5 of 5 from inside 29 yards this season.
• In 2009 … a second team all-MIAA pick as a junior as well as a 2009 Associated Press Little All-American selection and a second team Football Gazette second team All-American choice as well.

Chris Herron (volleyball head coach, 2002-pr)

  • Enters 24th season at Washburn in 2025 with a 624-140 career record (306-85 in MIAA).
  • Has led Washburn to 6 MIAA titles and 18 NCAA Tournament appearances.
  • Coached players to 52 All-America awards, 92 All-Region honors, and 47 All-MIAA first-team selections.
  • 4-time MIAA Coach of the Year (2002, 2005, 2007, 2011).
  • Guided Washburn to its first MIAA title and NCAA Tournament berth in 2002 (29-5 record).
  • 2024: NCAA Central Region semifinalist; upset No. 5 Nebraska-Kearney in first round.
