The Washburn men's basketball team led for 37 minutes, 25 seconds of the 40 minutes as the Ichabods picked up their seventh straight win over Central Missouri, a 65-53 MIAA decision Saturday in Warrensburg, Mo.

After the Mules (11-15 overall, 6-13 MIAA) scored the first four points of the game, the Ichabods (13-13, 10-10) came back with eight straight points, doubling up Central Missouri.
Washburn led the Mules at 21-20 with 7:33 in the first half and then outscored Central 13-6 to take a 34-26 lead into the break.
The Mules outscored the Ichabods 14-9 over the first eight minutes of the second half, cutting the Washburn lead to 43-40, but a 16-4 spurt by Washburn stretched the lead to 15 at 59-44 and UCM would get no closer than 11 the rest of the way.
Washburn was led by Andrew Orr, who scored 17 points on seven of 12 shooting while adding eight rebounds. Six of Orr's rebounds were on the offensive end.
Tyler Nelson had 12 points and Jarmell Johnson 10 points off the bench.
Jack Chapman led the Mules with 12 points off the bench as the only Central Missouri player to reach double figures.
Washburn shot 39 percent in the game, going 21 of 54 from the field and hitting five of 16 shots from deep. The Mules were 23 of 58 shooting and went three of 23 from 3-point range and four of four from the free throw line. Washburn was 18 of 22 on free throw attempts.
Washburn outrebounded the Mules 38 to 33 and forced 16 UCM turnovers, turning them into 16 points.
Washburn will be back in action on Thursday in Lee Arena, hosting Missouri Southern in the Ichabods' final home game of the season.
Three WU players crack double-digits in 78-54 loss to No. 12 Jennies
A trio of Ichabods cracked double figures on Saturday, but it wasn't enough as No. 12-ranked Central Missouri posted 78-54 MIAA win on its home court.

Washburn (11-15, 7-13) leveled the score early at 2-2 and 4-4 before Central Missouri used a 13-2 run to create some space.
At the end of the first quarter, the Jennies held a 22-10 advantage.
Central Missouri (21-3, 17-3 MIAA) continued to click in the second quarter and led by as many as 22 points in the frame. The Ichabods closed out the first half on a 6-2 run to trim the deficit to 42-24 at the break.
The Jennies held a double-figure lead throughout the second half. Washburn finished out the game on a 5-0 run in the last 2:16 of the contest with points by Gabi Artis and Jaden Newfarmer.
Central Missouri finished the afternoon with a 50.9 field goal percentage while Washburn shot at a 44.9 clip. Central Missouri had the edge in rebounds, 31-25.
Artis led the Ichabods in scoring, making six of nine shots from the field and tallying 14 points. She also led the team in rebounds with seven.
Aubree Dewey and Macy Doebele contributed 10 points apiece for Washburn.
Central Missouri's Brooke Littrell led all scorers with 25 points as she made 10 of 14 shots from the floor and hit all three of her 3-point attempts.
The Ichabods will host Missouri Southern on Thursday for Senior Night.
