Highland Park's boys basketball team maintained its share of the Centennial League lead with a 71-45 home romp past Topeka High Tuesday night.
The Scots, who improved to 14-2 overall and 11-1 in the league, steadily built their lead over the Trojans, including a 34-21 advantage at the half and a 48-32 lead entering the fourth quarter.
Highland Park singed the net at a 59 percent clip (30 of 51) and hit six of nine 3-point attempts while committing just seven turnovers.

Junior Jahmir Kingcannon scored 21 points with five 3-pointers while junior Ketraleus Aldridge added 18 points with five dunks and senior Juan'Tario Roberts 10 points.
Sophomore BJ Canady led Topeka High (4-12, 3-8) with 15 points, 11 in the fourth quarter, while Germane Mays added 12 points.

TOPEKA HIGH GIRLS 61, HIGHLAND PARK 38 -- Undefeated and second-ranked Topeka High took control with a 21-5 first quarter and led 37-20 at the half and 47-28 after three quarters.
The Trojans (15-0, 12-0) rolled to the win despite shooting just 37 percent from the field and 44 percent from the tree throw line while hitting seven of 32 3-point attempts.
Senior Tae Thomas paced Topeka High with a game-high 22 points and five 3-pointers while junior Kiki Smith added 16 points (two 3-pointers) and junior Adisyn Caryl eight points.
Freshman Amelia Ramsey led Highland Park (2-14, 0-12) with 15 points while Aisya Taylor added nine points and Atiya Gonzales eight.
Topeka High will host No. 3-ranked Washburn Rural in a Centennial League showdown Friday night.
ROSSVILLE GIRLS 59, OSAGE CITY 47 -- Rossville's girls rolled a big 31-point night from sophomore Kinsey Perine to Tuesday's 59-47 victory over Osage City.
Sophomore Emma Mitchell added 14 points and senior Caylee Douglas eight points for the Bulldawgs, who improved to 9-7.
Rossville trailed 13-7 at the end of the first quarter but took control with a 22-7 second quarter and outscored Osage 30-27 in the second half.
Rossville will host No. 1-ranked Silver Lake on Friday.
OSAGE CITY BOYS 73, ROSSVILLE 60 -- Rossville juniors Francesco Patrizi and Kade Perine combined for 41 points, but state-ranked Osage City (3A) was able to take a 73-60 win Tuesday night.
Patrizi scored 21 points while Perine was right behind with 20 points.
Freshman Tayson Horak added nine points on three 3-pointers.
CAIR PARAVEL LATIN GiRLS 34, OLATHE HERITAGE CHRISTIAN 26 -- The Lions continued their recent hot streak with Friday's 34-26 win, getting a game-high 21 points and three 3-pointers from senior Jaley Barkley.
Cair Paravel, which improved to 9-6, led 18-11 at the conclusion of a low-scoring first half and outscored Heritage Christian 16-15 after the break to close out the eight-point win.
Heritage Christian did not have a player score more than eight points.
Cair Paravel will host Bishop Seabury on Friday.
OLATHE HERITAGE CHRISTIAN BOYS 72, CAIR PARAVEL LATIN 69 -- Cair Paravel, ranked No. 8 in 1A Division I by the KBCA, came up on the short end of a high-scoring nailbiter, 72-69.
Cair Paravel, which fell to 10-4, had four players in double figures, led by senior Zach Clark, who scored 19 points.
Sophomore Evan Will scored 16 points and went three of four from 3-point range while senior Noah Hastert had 15 points and 10 rebounds and sophomore Simon Everhart contributed 13 points and five assists.
The Lions will host Bishop Seabury on Friday.
HAYDEN GIRLS 35, JUNCTION CITY 26 -- Seniors Sandy Anguiano and Macy Smith scored eight points each as Hayden took a 35-26 Centennial League road win at Junction City.
Hayden, now 8-6, 6-5, built a 19-8 halftime advantage behind an 8-0 shutout in the second quarter but the Blue Jays (2-13, 2-10) remained within striking distance with an 18-16 scoring advantage after the break.
Hayden will host rival Seaman on Friday.
JUNCTION CITY BOYS 49, HAYDEN 43 -- Hayden led 12-10 at the end of the first quarter and trailed by just a 33-32 margin at the start of the fourth quarter, but Junction City was able to hold off the Wildcats down the stretch for a 49-43 home Centennial League win.
Hayden fell to 3-11 overall and 2-9 in the league while Junction City, which was playing for the second straight night, snapped a two-game losing streak to improve to 11-5, 8-4.
Hayden will host Seaman on Friday.
