A group of Shawnee County greats that excelled in five different sports earned spots No. 71-80 on the women's TopSports.news Shawnee County All-Time Top 100 list.

The third installment of the TSN women's picks is widely diverse, including college softball All-Americans Susan Punzo (Shawnee Heights) and Chris Torrez (Topeka West), tennis stars Danielle Knipp of Washburn Rural and Meg Griffin of Topeka West, who went on to excel at Division I Oklahoma and Maryland, respectively, as well as Topeka West star swimmer Kelli Dudley, who helped Truman State win three straight national swimming titles. 

The group of honorees also includes Shawnee Heights product Stefine Pease, who put together a Hall of Fame volleyball career for Lipscomb, along with former T-Bird basketball standout Lori Roenbaugh, a 1,000-point career scorer for Washburn University, and former city tennis stars Tonna Rieger (Topeka West), Alex O'Neal (Hayden) and Zebbie Roberson (Hayden), who all won three state high school championships.

71. SUSAN PUNZO, Shawnee Heights

The Shawnee Heights product was a two-time softball All-American at Central Missouri and helped lead the Jennies to three MIAA Conference championships and three NCAA berths during her career (1994-'97). Punzo Anderson is now the head coach at her alma mater, posting 527 career wins.

72. DANIELLE KNIPP, Washburn Rural

 Knipp helped lead Washburn Rural's tennis team to Class 6A state team championships in 1990 and '93 and was the state singles runner-up in '92 and '93. Knipp went on to play at Oklahoma, winning a Big 8 Conference doubles title. She is a member of the Topeka Tennis Association Hall of Fame.

73. CHRIS TORREZ, Topeka West

Torrez was a softball All-American and four-time All-MIAA pick for Washburn University, finishing her career No. 1 on WU's career list with 32 home runs, 167 runs batted in and a .398 batting average.

74. MEG GRIFFIN, Topeka West

Griffin won the 1994 6A Class 6A state singles title for Topeka West's tennis team, leading the Chargers to the 6A team championship. Griffin went on to star at Maryland, earning All-Atlantic Coast Conference and NCAA East Regional Player of the Year honors.

75. STEFINE PEASE, Shawnee Heights

Pease was a volleyball standout for Shawnee Heights before posting an outstanding college career at Lipscomb University. Pease was named the Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year in 2007, the conference player of the year in '10 and the most valuable player in the conference tournament in '07 and '09. The three-time first-team all-conference pick helped Lipscomb record a conference record of 54-7 and a 93-34 overall mark. She is a member of the Atlantic Sun Hall of Fame.

76, LORI ROENBAUGH, Shawnee Heights

After starring at Shawnee Heights Roenbaugh began her college career at Kansas before turning in a banner women's basketball career for Washburn University, finishing with 1,067 points for the Ichabods.

77. TONNA RIEGER, Topeka West

Rieger was a three-time Class 6A state doubles champion for Topeka West tennis from 1986-'88, helping lead the Chargers to a 6A team championship.

78. KELLI DUDLEY, Topeka West

Dudley starred for Topeka West swimming before earning multiple NCAA Division II individual swimming titles at Truman State and helping her team sweep three straight national team championships.

79. ALEX O'NEAL, Hayden

O'Neal was a three-time Class 4A state singles champion for Hayden, winning titles in 2006, '07 and '08. O'Neal was inducted into the Topeka Tennis Association Hall of Fame earlier this spring.

80. ZEBBIE ROBERTSON, Hayden

Robertson won three straight Class 4A state singles championships from 1990-'92 and went on to play at Washburn University, posting an 18-3 doubles record in '95-'96.
