CampbellBagshawWRWashburn Rural senior Campbell Bagshaw has signed a letter of intent with Kansas after earning All-Shawnee County and All-Centennial League honors last season for the 20-3 Junior Blues. [Twitter]

CAMPBELL BAGSHAW, Washburn Rural

 A senior infielder, Bagshaw was a first-team All-Shawnee County selection and also earned first-team All-Centennial League recognition after helping lead the Junior Blues to a 20-3 record and a Class 6A state tournament berth. Bagshaw hit .419 as a junior and scored a team-best 37 runs. Bagshaw hit two homers and drove in 18 runs. Bagshaw, who helped Washburn Rural win the 6A state basketball title this past season, has signed a softball letter of intent with Kansas.

A Stanford signee, Canady was named the Kansas Gatorade and Shawnee County player of the year last season as a junior after helping lead Topeka High to its first-ever Class 6A state sotball championship and a perfect 25-0 record. Canady struck out 16 batters in all three of Topeka High's state tournament wins, allowing just six hits and one unearned run. Canady posted a perfect 21-0 pitching record last spring with an 0.26 earned run average and 226 strikeouts while also hitting .478 with 13 home runs. Canady was named to the Class 6A first team by the Kansas Softball Coaches Association.

ADISYN CARYL, Topeka High

A junior shortstop, Caryl was named the Shawnee County and Centennial League newcomer of the year last spring after helping Topeka High post a perfect 25-0 record and win the school's first Class 6A state championship. Caryl was named to the All-Class 6A first team by the Kansas Softball Coaches Association after hitting .608 with 40 runs batted in. Caryl  had 48 hits, with 16 doubles and five triples. Caryl was also a starter for the Trojan basketball team, helping High win the Centennial League title and advance to the 6A state tournament.

EMMERSON COPE, Washburn Rural

A junior pitcher/first baseman, Cope earned All-Shawnee County first-team recognition last season and also made the Kansas Softball Coaches Association All-Class 6A first team as a utility/designated player. A first-team All-Centennial League selection, Cope helped Washburn Rural post a 20-3 record and advance to the 6A state tournament. Cope went 8-1 as a pitcher with a 2.04 ERA and 62 strikeouts and led the Junior Blues with a .587 batting average, including 13 doubles, seven home runs and 40 RBI. 

KYNLEA HEYDENREICH, Seaman

Heydenreich, a senior, earned a spot on the All-Centennial League first team last season after helping Seaman post a 16-6 record. Heydenreich also received second team All-Shawnee County recognition for the Vikings.

HAILEY HORTON, Silver Lake

 A sophomore catcher, Horton earned second-team All-Class 3A honors from the Kansas Softball Coaches Association last season after helping Silver Lake post a 22-4 record and a second-place finish in the Class 3A state tournament. Horton was also a second-team All-Shawnee County selection as a freshman.

MAKENZIE McDANIEL, Silver Lake

McDaniel, a sophomore, earned All-Shawnee County first-team honors as a freshman after helping lead Silver Lake to a 22-4 record and a runner-up finish in the Class 3A state tournament. McDaniel was named to the All-Class 3A second team in 2021 by the Kansas Softball Coaches Association.

ABBY SCHULTE, Shawnee Heights

A senior, Schulte was a first-team All-Shawnee County selection last spring after helping the T-Birds post an 18-5 record and earn a berth in the Class 5A state tournament. Schulte was named to the 2021 All-United Kansas Conference first team as an infielder after helping the T-Birds win the league title. Schulte earned a spot on the Kansas Softball Coaches Association All-Class 5A second team last season. Schulte hit.515 with 25 RBI and 15 doubles for the T-Birds, who returned to state for the eighth straight year. 

EMMA SMITH, Seaman

Smith, a senior, was a first-team All-Shawnee County pick last season after helping lead Seaman to a 16-6 record. Smith also received All-Centennial League honorable mention last spring after hitting .460 with four home runs and 24 RBI. Smith had six doubles, two triples and 11 stolen bases.

CARLY STUKE, Hayden

A senior, Stuke was a first-team All-Shawnee County selection last spring after helping Hayden post a 12-9 record. Stuke also received second-team All-Class 4A honors from the Kansas Softball Coaches Association and was a first-team All-Centennial League pick. Stuke hit .444 as a junior with five home runs and 24 runs batted in.
