Tylan Alejos, Topeka High
A 5-foot-9, 195-pound senior running back and strong safety, Alejos was a standout on both sides of the ball for Topeka High in the 2020 season, earning All-City honors at running back while receiving All-Centennial League honorable mention.
Camden Barta, Seaman
A senior quarterback/free safety, Barta played free safety for the 7-2 Vikings last season and backed up All-City Top 11 quarterback Reid Cowan. Barta is expected to move into the starting quarterback position for Seaman this fall.
Malachi Berg, Topeka West
Still just a junior, Berg is starting his third season as Topeka West's starting quarterback. The 6-3, 195-pound Berg received All-City honorable mention last season and will be looked on to provide leadership for the Chargers this fall.
Robby Bolin, Washburn Rural
A 6-2, 190-pound senior wide receiver/safety, Bolin was an All-City Top 11 selection last fall, catching 29 passes for 863 yards and eight touchdowns. Bolin received second-team All-Centennial League recognition on offense and honorable mention on defense and also received All-6A honorable mention.
Carter Brian, Cair Paravel Latin
Brian, a senior, turned in an outstanding junior season for the Lions, who play Eight-Man Football, ranking as one of the state's most prolific passers. Brian was named the city offensive newcomer of the year last season for Cair Paravel, which posted a 5-5 record.
Orrin Busenitz, Shawnee Heights
Busenitz, a senior, will be counted on to help anchor the T-Birds' offensive line after earning second-team All-United Kansas Conference recognition last season for Shawnee Heights, which is coming off a 1-8 season.
Jacob Carver, Rossville
A junior offensive/defensive lineman, Carver is a returning starter on both sides of the ball for Rossville after helping the Bulldawgs post a perfect 13-0 record and win the 2A state championship as a sophomore.
Corey Catron, Rossville
A senior running back/linebacker, Catron played a key role as Rossville posted a 13-0 record and captured the 2A state championship. Catron received first-team All-Mid-East League honors on defense for the Bulldawgs and received All-2A honorable mention.
Matthew Etzel, Shawnee Heights
Etzel, a senior defensive end, earned second-team All-United Kansas Conference recognition last season for the 1-8 T-Birds while also receiving All-City honorable mention. Etzel recorded 40.5 tackles last season with a sack.
Ben Evans, Hayden
Evans, a 6-3, 255 offensive tackle/defensive tackle, was a stalwart a year ago for a Hayden team that posted a 7-2 record and advanced to the second round of the 3A playoffs. Evans received All-City honorable mention last season.
Noah Hastert, Cair Paravel Latin
A 6-6, 220-pound senior tight end/defensive end, Hastert earned All-City Top 11 honors last fall for the 5-5 Lions. Hastert caught 58 passes for 693 yards and 10 touchdowns while also recording 61 tackles, including 14.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
Torrey Horak, Rossville
Horak, a senior quarterback/free safety, received first-team All-State all-class honors last season after helping lead the Bulldawgs to a perfect 13-0 record and the 2A state championship. Horak rushed for 1,629 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior while passing for 1,447 yards and 25 TDs. Horak has compiled 5,382 yards of total offense in his career, accounting for 90 TDs.
Kaden Ireland, Seaman
A senior running back/cornerback, Ireland helped Seaman post a 7-2 record and go unbeaten against city competition last fall, earning second-team All-Centennial League recognition on defense as well as All-City honorable mention.
Daigan Kruger, Silver Lake
Kruger is a standout senior quarterback/linebacker for Silver Lake, helping lead the Eagles to a 6-2 record while earning All-2A honorable mention in 2020. Kruger is also one of the state's premier wrestlers, placing third in the 3A-1A state tournament as a junior.
Brody Lietz, Rossville
A senior offensive/defensive lineman, Lietz is a returning starter on both sides of the ball after helping Rossville post a 13-0 record and win the 2A state championship last season. Lietz was an All-Mid-East League first-team selection on defense a year ago while earning All-2A honorable mention.
Joe Otting, Hayden
A 6-4, 265-pound junior guard/defensive end, Otting received All-City and All-3A honorable mention a year ago for the 7-2 Wildcats and is one of the top Division I prospects in the state, receiving offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Iowa State and New Mexico. Otting is also a basketball standout, receiving All-Shawnee County recognition as a sophomore.
Tyrell Reed, Topeka West
Reed, a junior, will play running back/free safety for the Chargers, who will be looking to improve on last year's one-win campaign. Reed, who received All-City honorable mention in '20, was a 5A medalist in the 5A state track meet this past spring, placing third in the 100-meter dash.
Gannon Remer, Silver Lake
A senior wide receiver/safety, Remer earned first-team All-Mid-East League honors last season as a junior after helping Silver Lake post a 6-2 record.
Brogan Renfro, Silver Lake
A senior slotback/running back/cornerback, Renfro earned first-team All-Mid-East League recognition on defense last season. Renfro is one of the state's top returning track and field performers, earning four state medals in the 2021 3A state meet.
Tre Richardson, Highland Park
Richardson, a junior, is a multi-sport standout for Highland Park, playing football, basketball, baseball and track and field. A receiver/defensive back/returner, Richardson was the All-City returner a year ago while also earning second-team All-Centennial League honors. Richardson was a multi-event state placer in the 5A state track meet.
Danny Saili, Topeka High
Saili, an offensive lineman/noseguard, transferred to Topeka High from Jefferson West for his senior season. Saili earned first-team All-Big Seven League recognition on both offense and defense a year ago and also received All-3A honorable mention for the Tigers.
Jarin Sanders, Shawnee Heights
A senior, Sanders earned All-City honorable mention last season at running back for the T-Birds, carrying the ball 126 times for 426 yards as a junior as Shawnee Heights posted a 1-8 record. Sanders also plays point guard for Heights' basketball team.
Casen Stallbaumer, Seaman
Stallbaumer, a senior H-back/strong safety, earned All-City Top 11 honors in 2020 for the 7-2 Vikings, rushing for 195 yards, catching 38 passes for 624 yards and scoring eight touchdowns while also throwing for a pair of TDs. Stallbaumer received second-team All-Centennial League recognition and All-5A honorable mention.
Ty Weber, Washburn Rural
A 6-3, 235-pound junior outside linebacker, Weber was an All-City Top 11 selection last fall. Weber was also an All-Centennial League first-team selection after compiling 120 tackles (64 solo), with eight tackles for loss.
