Seven Hayden wrestlers advanced to Class 4A regional competition with top-four finishes in Saturday's 4A District 5 tournament at Holton, led by seniors Will DeVader and Clayton Stephenson, who captured district titles.
DeVader won the 182-pound championship to improve to 17-4 on the season while Stephenson won the 220-pound title and is now 26-5.

DeVader earned a 10-3 decision over Jefferson West sophomore Keaton Shelman in the 182-pound final while Stephenson pinned Holton freshman Dalton Roush at the 2:53 mark of the 220 championship match.
The Wildcats got a third-place finish from 113-pound sophomore Ben Holmes and fourth-place finishes from junior Curtis Morrisey (145), sophomore Braden Rose (152), sophomore Jameson Kennedy (170) and sophomore J.C. Cummings (195).
Holmes posted a 5-3 decision over Royal Valley freshman Matt Tracy in the 113-pound third-place match, improving to 8-15.
Morrisey (13-19) dropped an 8-3 decision to Perry-Lecompton sophomore Christian Conklin in the 145-pound third-place match while Rose (11-8) was pinned by Atchison junior Jake Rebant in the third-place match at 152, Kennedy (13-13) was pinned by Perry-Lecompton senior Mitchell Root in the third-place match at 170 and Cummings (5-5) was pinned by Perry-Lecompton senior Gavin Monaghan in the third-place match at 195.
