Silver Lake and Rossville went one-two in the team standings in Friday's Mid-East League boys wrestling tournament at Wabaunsee while combining to win nine individual championships.

League-champion Silver Lake had seven wrestlers capture league championships, including Devin Dultmeier at 120 pounds, Justin Rakestraw at 132, Kai Allen at 138, Chase Root at 152, Daigan Kruger at 170, Triston VandeVelde at 182 and Preston Gillen at 195 pounds.

Allen, a senior, was ranked No. 3 at 138 pounds in the most recent Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association Class 3A-1A state rankings while Kruger was 6th-ranked at 170 and VandeVelde 6th-ranked at 182. Kruger and VandeVelde are both juniors.

Rossville was led by 106-pound champion Mason Broce and 145-pound champ Layne Hurla.

Hurla, a senior, was No. 3-ranked in the most recent KWCA 3A-1A rankings at 145 pounds.

Rock Creek and Wabaunsee also had a pair of individual champions, with the Mustangs getting titles from Dayton Bittle at 220 pounds and Ty Griffin at 285 while the Chargers got wins from Marek Boatwright at 113 pounds and Derek Wallin at 160.

Riley County's JR Thelwell won the league crown at 126 pounds.

Silver Lake got runner-up finishes from 220-pounder Kaden Walker and 285-pounder Calvin Carman while Rossville got runner-up finishes from Colby Hurla (132), Krew Lacock (138), Joe McGrath (170) and Barrett Leitz (195).
