Washburn Rural’s boys swimmers topped a 13-school field in the Topeka West Invitational, which was contested Tuesday and Wednesday at the Capitol Federal Natatorium, posting seven wins en route to a 434-336 margin over Blue Southwest.

Junior Dagen Clouse captured four gold medals while junior Nathen Trachta won three golds.

Clouse was the individual winner in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle and swam on Rural’s winning 200 medley and 200 free relays.

Trachta won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke titles and swam on the Junior Blues’ winning 200 medley relay.

Senior Keats Larson swam on both the 200 medley and 200 free relays for Rural while senior Yeager Larson won the 500 freestyle.

Jalen Eilert swam on the Junior Blues’ 200 medley relay while Brogan Meier and Will Powell won golds in the 200 free relay

Shawnee Heights sophomore Luke Perkins was the individual winner in the 200 individual medley, while Seaman finished third in the team standings.
