Wichita Southeast and Lansing will play for the championship in the 60th annual Topeka Invitational Tournament on Saturday after rolling to double-digit semifinal wins Friday at Topeka High.

Wichita Southeast, 4-6 on the season, punched its ticket into the finals with a 58-36 win over Shawnee Mission North while Lansing (7-2) romped past Wichita East, 72-58.

The Buffaloes and Lions will meet for the title at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Topeka High's main gym.

Shawnee Mission North jumped out to a 12-6 lead over Southeast, but the rest of the game belonged to the Buffaloes, who outscored the Indians 33-12 over the middle two quarters.

Wichita Southeast's Caleb Wilson scored 14 points while Kobe Smith added 11 for the Buffaloes. Logan Oberle led SM North with 9 points.

Lansing, coached by former Highland Park coach Jason Jones, put Wichita East away early, taking a 22-9 lead in the first quarter and leading 38-19 at the half.

Malik Benson led Lansing with 21 points, while Jake Jackson added 18. East got 19 points from AJ King and 18 from Daylan Jones.
