Multi-time state placers Audrey Appuhn of Washburn Rural, Joslynn Grace of Seaman and Kaylee Gregg of Hayden headline the 2025 All-City girls swimming and diving team.
Appuhn, a junior, earned a pair of Class 6A individual medals for the third straight season while Seaman senior Grace was a multiple-event individual 5A-1A medalist for the second straight season and Hayden senior Gregg finished fifth in the 5A-1A state meet in one-meter diving for the second straight year.

Washburn Rural senior Genevieve Miranda was also a state medalist in 6A in last Saturday's state meet at the Capitol Federal Natatorium.
Rural, which won its 22nd straight city title, put a city-high four swimmers on the All-City first team, which is determined by performances in the city meet, while Shawnee Heights has three first-teamers.
Washburn Rural put Appuhn, Miranda and juniors Sophie Heinen and Ava Von Lintel on the first team while Heights is represented by senior Ashtynn Landry and sophomores Kaitlyn Aldridge and Clara Sobba.
Topeka High junior Hara Del Castillo is a three-time first-team honoree and is joined on the All-City team by senior teammate Caroline Toland.
Washburn Rural junior diver Rhiannon Good headlines the 12-member All-City second team and finishing third in Class 6A in one-meter diving.
All-City first-team capsules:
KAITLYN ALDRIDGE, Shawnee Heights -- A sophomore, Aldridge earned All-City first-team honors for the second straight season, winning the city title in the 500-yard freestyle, placing second in the 100 butterfly and helping Shawnee Heights win the 200 free relay and finish third in the 400 free relay. Aldridge placed fourth in the United Kansas Conference in the 100 fly and fifth in the 500 free and swam on the T-Birds' fourth-place 400 free relay. Aldridge competed in last weekend's Class 5A-1A state meet.
AUDREY APPUHN, Washburn Rural -- Appuhn, a junior three-time All-City honoree, placed in multiple events in the Class 6A state meet for the third straight season, taking third in the 100-yard breaststroke and sixth in the 200 freestyle to lead Rural to an 11th-place team finish. Appuhn won four golds in the city meet (200 free, 100 breast, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay) as Rural won its 22nd straight team title and four golds in the Centennial League meet (200 free, 100 breast, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay). Appuhn was a second-team All-State honoree in 6A.
HARA DEL CASTILLO, Topeka High -- Del Castillo earned All-City honors for the third straight season as the Trojan junior finished second in the city meet in the 100-yard backstroke and third in the 100 freestyle. Del Castillo won Centennial League titles in the 200 individual medley and the 100 backstroke and swam on the Trojans' fourth-place 200 medley relay. Del Castillo competed in the 6A state meet last weekend.
JOSLYNN GRACE, Seaman -- Grace, a senior three-time All-City honoree, finished fourth in the Class 5A-1A 200-yard individual medley and fourth in the 100 breaststroke in last Saturday's state meet and also swam on the Vikings' 200 medley and 400 free relays at state. Grace won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly in the city meet and swam on the Vikings' second-place 400 free relay and third-place 200 medley relay. Grace finished second in the 200 individual medley and 100 breast in the United Kansas Conference.
KAYLEE GREGG, Hayden -- A senior, Gregg finished fifth in the Class 5A-1A one-meter diving event for the second straight season last weekend after finishing 10th in the state meet as a sophomore. Gregg won city championships in diving and the 50-yard freestyle while also swimming on the Wildcats' second-place 200 medley and 200 free relays. Gregg finished third in Centennial League diving and swam on Hayden's runnerup 200 medley and 200 free relay teams. In addiition to diving, Gregg competed in the 200 medley and 200 free relays at state.
SOPHIE HEINEN, Washburn Rural -- Heinen, a junior, finished second in the 500-yard freestyle in the city meet and also swam on the Junior Blues' winning 200 medley and 400 free relays. Heinen finished second in the Centennial League in the 500 freestyle and swam on Rural's winning 200 medley and 400 free relays. Heinen swam on the Junior Blues' 11th-place 200 medley and 400 free relays at state.
ASHTYNN LANDRY, Shawnee Heights -- A senior, Landry is a three-time All-City first-team pick, finishing second in the city meet in the 200 free and and the 100 free and also swam on the T-Birds' city-champion 200 freestyle relay and third-place 400 free relay. Landry finished third in the United Kansas Conference in the 100 freestyle and fourth in the 200 free and swam on the T-Birds' fourth-place 400 relay. Landry competed in four events in last weekend's Class 5A-1A state meet, including a 12th-place finish in the 200 freestyle.
GENEVIEVE MIRANDA, Washburn Rural -- Miranda, a senior, earned an eighth-place Class 6A state medal in the 100-yard butterfly and won the 'B' final (ninth place) in the 100 backstroke while also swimming on Rural's 11th-place 200 medley and 400 free relays. Miranda won four gold medals in the city meet (100 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay) as the Junior Blues won their 22nd straight city title and Miranda won four gold medals in the Centennial League meet (50 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay) as Washburn Rural posted a second-place team finish.
CLARA SOBBA, Shawnee Heights -- A sophomore, Sobba posted a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle in the city championships while also swimming on Shawnee Heights' winning 200 free relay and third-place 400 free relay. Sobba finished fifth in the United Kansas Conference in the 100 freestyle and swam on the T-Birds' fourth-place 400 free relay. Sobba swam on Heights' 16th-place 200 free relay in the Class 5A-1A state meet.
CAROLINE TOLAND, Topeka High -- Toland, a senior, finished 12th in the 'B' final in the 100-yard breaststroke in last Saturday's Class 6A state meet at the Capitol Federal Natatorium. Toland finished second in the city championships in the 100 breaststroke and repeated that finish in the Centennial League meet. Toland also swam on the Trojans' fourth-place 200 medley relay in the league meet.
AVA VON LINTEL, Washburn Rural -- A junior, Von Lintel finished third in the city championships in the 500-yard freestyle and also swam on the Junior Blues' winning 200 medley and 400 free relays as Washburn Rural won its 22nd straight city team title. Von Lintel swam on Rural's winning 200 medley and 400 free relays in the Centennial League meet while also posting a runnerup finish in the 500 freestyle. Von Lintel swam on Rural's 11th-place 200 medley and 400 free relays in the Class 6A state meet.
