Five state medalists, including three first-team repeat picks, headline the 2025 All-Shawnee County girls golf team.

Hayden seniors Lauren Borjon and Izzy Glotzbach are both three-time first-team all-county selections while Washburn Rural senior Lauren Cox is a first-team repeater.

City and United Kansas Conference team champion Seaman is represented by seniors Elise Eckert and Makenna Stuke on the all-county first team along with Silver Lake senior Kailyn Hanni and Washburn Rural junior Kailyn Petersen.

Hanni, Stuke and Petersen were all second-team all-county selections in 2024 while Eckert earned first-team honors in her first season at Seaman. 

Hanni placed fifth in Class 3A-1A, Glotzbach tied for fifth in 4A and Eckert tied for fifth in 5A while Borjon tied for 12th in 4A and Cox tied for 18th in 6A. 

Eckert and Borjon were both four-time state medalists while Glotzbach and Hanni were both repeat medalists.

Eckert in 5A, Glotzbach in 4A and Hanni in 3A-1A all earned first-team All-State honors from the state's coaches while Borjon was a second-team pick and Stuke earned honorable mention.

Named to this year's second team were Washburn Rural seniors Taryn Jellison, Briley Miles and Peyton Merrick, Hayden junior Brooke Johnson, Seaman juniors Chloe Schmidtlein and Kaitlynn Frye and Silver Lake freshman Avenley Head.

All-Shawnee County first-team capsules:

LAUREN BORJON, Hayden -- Borjon, a senior, earned her fourth straight medal with a tie for 12th in 4A with a 170 36-hole score (88-82). A three-time all-county selection, Borjon was the runnerup in the city tourney with a 76 and was fifth in the Centennial League with a 76 and was eighth at regionals with an 89. Borjon had a per-round average of 83.4 and was a second-team All-State pick in 4A.

LAUREN COX, Washburn Rural -- Cox, a senior, is a first-team All-Shawnee County repeater and earned a 6A state medal with a tie for 18th place with a 36-hole score of 167 (85-82). Cox placed fourth in the city meet (87), tied for seventh in the Centennial League tourney (89) and tied for fifth in regional competition (85). Cox posted a per-round average 87.2 of this fall.

ELISE ECKERT, Seaman -- A senior, Eckert earned her fourth straight 5A state medal in her first year at Seaman, tying for fifth with a 36-hole score of 161 (77-84). Eckert won the city championship by eight strokes with a 68 and the United Kansas Conference title with a 73, leading the Vikings to team titles in both events. Eckert was a regional runnerup with a 73 while averaging 76.2 per round and earning All-5A first-team honors.  

IZZY GLOTZBACH, Hayden -- Glotzbach, a senior, is a three-time first-team All-Shawnee County pick. Glotzbach tied for fifth in the 4A state tournament at 164 (85-79) after finishing third in the city tournament (82), finishing fourth in the Centennial League (82) and tying for second at regionals (83). Glotzbach had an 79.9 per-round average and earned first-team All-4A recognition.

KAILYN HANNI, Silver Lake -- A senior, Hanni earned all-county first-team honors this fall after being a second-team pick in 2024. Hanni finished fifth in the 3A-1A state tournament with a 36-hole total of 164 (81-83) this fall after winning regional and Big East League championships. A first-team All-3A-1A pick this fall, Hanni helped Silver Lake win the state title as a sophomore and post a second-place finish (losing on a tiebreaker) as a junior.     

KAILYN PETERSEN, Washburn Rural -- A junior, Petersen, the lone underclassman on the all-county first team, placed sixth in the city tournament with a 90 and tied for ninth in the Centennial League (95) before finishing third in a 6A regional (79). Petersen tied for 31st in the 6A state tournament with a 167 36-hole total, carding rounds of 87 and 90. Petersen, a second-team all-county selection as a junior, had a per-round average of 88.1.   

MAKENNA STUKE, Seaman -- Stuke, a senior, moves up to the all-county first team after being a second-team pick in 2024. Stuke finished fifth in the city tournament (89) and was the runnerup in the United Kansas Conference (81) as the Vikings captured team titles in both tournaments. Stuke tied for fourth in a in a 5A regional (90) and tied for 31st at state (192 36-hole total). An honorable mention All-5A pick, Stuke had an 85.8 per-round average.
