Sophomore Jeremiah Smith led the way with a hand in four of Shawnee Heights' six event wins as the the T-Birds claimed the boys team championship in Friday's Shawnee Heights Invitational track and field meet.

Smith won individual titles in the 100 (10.95 seconds) and the 200-meter dashes (22.15) and the 110-meter high hurdles (14.74) and also ran on the T-Birds' winning 4x100 relay (44.02).
Shawnee Heights also got individual boys wins from Kory Sutton in the 1,600 (4:35.95) and from Aidan Hicks in the javelin (151 feet, 5 inches) as the T-Birds won the team title by a 148-126 margin over Spring Hill.
City schools posted 12 wins overall in the boys division, with third-place Hayden posting four wins and Topeka West two.
The Wildcats got individual wins from Ethan Emmons in the 800 meters (2:09.05) and Jack Konrade in the triple jump (41-1.5) while Hayden also won the 4x400 relay (3:32.36) and the 4x800 relay (8:46.19).
Topeka West's Lenny Njoroge won the 3,200 (10:04) and Javion Lee won the long jump (22-1).

Topeka West finished second to Spring Hill in the girls division (189-122), with the Chargers getting event wins from Makinsey Jones in the high jump (5-2), Adina Davis in the long jump (17-0), Victoria Reed in the 100 (12.83) and Malayah Henderson in the 300 hurdles (53.68).
Shawnee Heights' Taylor Rottinghaus won the 400 (58.67) while Heights' Nadia Emperley won the javelin title (130-2) and Hayden's Jadyn Paige Falley won the shot put (34-1).
