Rossville freshmen Keera Lacock and Kendra Hurla punched their tickets to Division II wrestling sub-state with regional titles Saturday at Rossville while tournament runner-up Silver Lake advanced five competitors to next Friday's sub-state tourney at Anderson County.

Lacock won the 115-pound regional title with a 12-5 decision over Santa Fe Trail sophomore Haley Somchay while Hurla pinned Silver Lake senior Grace Fitzgerald 1:59 into the 120-pound championship match.

Lacock improved to 16-3 while Hurla improved to 18-1 on the season.

Fitzgerald (20-10) was one of two second-place finishers for Silver Lake, which finished second to Baldwin by a 165-84 count in the team standings, with freshman Hailey Horton (31-10) advancing to the finals at 155 pounds before defaulting that match due to injury.

The Eagles also got a third-place finish from sophomore Avery Henderson (126) and senior Ellington Hogle (132) and a fourth from senior Aubrey Bahner (115)
