Seaman senior Anna Becker has been tapped as the TopSports.news 2025 All-Shawnee County girls basketball player of the year after helping lead the Vikings to back-to-back championship games in Class 5A.

A four-time All-Shawnee County Top 10 pick and three-time United Kansas Conference player of the year, Becker helped Seaman post a 24-1 record and a second-place finish behind St. Thomas Aquinas as a senior after the Vikings won the Class 5A state title in 2024.
Becker is one of five repeat picks on the All-Shawnee County Top 10 along with Hayden senior Millie Ramsey, Seaman junior Maddie Gragg, Silver Lake junior Kailyn Hanni and Washburn Rural sophomore Maddie Vickery.
Ramsey and Gragg are three-time all-county Top 10 selections.
Also earning All-Shawnee County Top 10 spots are Washburn Rural senior Kate Hinck, Topeka High junior Keimara Marshall, Trojan sophomore Ahsyierhuajh Rayton, Shawnee Heights sophomore KK Emmot and Hayden freshman Hailey Schmidtlein.

Schmeidtlein, who helped Hayden post a third-place state finish in Class 4A, was also named the Shawnee County newcomer of the year, while Topeka High coach Ron Slaymaker was named the county coach of the year.

The 88-year-old Slaymaker, a Kansas coaching legend and High's third coach in four seasons, led the Trojans to a nine-win improvement in the 2024-2025 campaign, with Topeka High posting a 14-8 record.

ANNA BECKER, Seaman -- A 5-foot-11 senior, Becker has been tapped as the Shawnee County player of the year this season after being named the co-player of the year in 2024. A Drake signee, Becker is a four-time All-Shawnee County Top 10 pick and has been named the United Kansas Conference player of the year the past three seasons. Becker averaged 16.4 points, a county-high 4.9 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals in '24-'25 as Seaman posted a 24-1 record and finished second in Class 5A.
KK EMMOT, Shawnee Heights -- Emmot, a 5-8 sophomore, moves up to the All-Shawnee County Top 10 this season after earning second-team honors as a freshman. Emmot, who led the T-Birds to a 14-8 record, earned first-team All-United Kansas Conference honors this past season after averaging 17.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 3.2 assists while connecting on 46 3-pointers.
MADDIE GRAGG, Seaman -- A 5-10 junior, Gragg is an All-Shawnee County Top 10 selection for the third straight season after helping lead Seaman to a 24-1 record and a runnerup finish in Class 5A. Gragg, also a three-time All-United Kansas Conference first-team pick, averaged 13.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists while shooting 57 percent on two-point field goal attempts and shooting 83 percent from the free throw line while hitting 39 3-pointers.
KAILYN HANNI, Silver Lake -- Hanni, a 5-7 junior, led Silver Lake to a 23-3 record and a runnerup finish in the Class 3A state tournament this past season after helping the Eagles post a perfect 26-0 record en route to the 3A state championship in 2024. Hanni is a repeat All-Shawnee County Top 10 selection as well as a repeat first-team All-Mid-East League pick.
KATE HINCK, Washburn Rural -- Hinck, a 5-4 senior, helped Washburn Rural,16-7 on the season, return to the Class 6A state tournament this past season after playing on Junior Blue teams that played in back-to-back 6A title games. Hinck was a first-team All-Centennial League pick, averaging 10.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 4.0 assists while shooting 56 percent on two-point field goal attempts and hitting 16 3-pointers.
KEIMARA MARSHALL, Topeka High -- A 5-4 junior, Marshall received All-Centennial first-team recognition this past season after helping lead Topeka High to a breakout 14-8 season. Marshall averaged 10.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.1 steals and 2.7 assists for the Trojans, who posted a nine-win improvement over 2023-2024. Marshall received all-county honorable mention as a sophomore.
AMELIA RAMSEY, Hayden -- A 6-0 senior, Ramsey is an All-Shawnee County Top 10 pick for the third straight season after helping Hayden post a 22-3 record, win the Centennial League title and post a third-place finish in the Class 4A state tournament. A first-team All-Centennial League pick, Ramsey averaged 14.8 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots while shooting a city-best 64 percent on two-point field goal attempts.
Ahsieyrhuajh Rayton, Topeka High
AHSIEYRHUAJH RAYTON, Topeka High -- Rayton, a 5-6 sophomore, averaged a city-high 20.5 points on the season for the 14-8 Trojans while also averaging 2.9 steals and connecting on 55 3-pointers. Rayton was named to the All-Centennial League first team after helping the Trojans engineer a nine-win improvement over the 2023-2024 campaign. Rayton received All-Shawnee County honorable mention as a freshman.
HAILEY SCHMIDTLEIN, Hayden -- Schmidtlein, a 5-11 freshman, earned All-Shawnee County and All-Centennial League first-team recognition while also being named the county and league newcomer of the year after helping the 22-3 Wildcats win the Centennial League title and finish third in Class 4A. Schmidtlein averaged 13.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 3.0 steals while shooting 60 percent on two-point field goal attempts.
Maddie Vickery, Washburn Rural
MADDIE VICKERY, Washburn Rural -- Vickery, a 6-1 sophomore, is an All-Shawnee County Top 10 and All-Centennial League first-team repeat pick and was named the Centennial League player of the year this past season after helping lead the Junior Blues to a 16-7 record and a Class 6A state tournament berth. Vickery averaged 20.4 points and 8.2 rebounds while hitting 43 3-pointers and shooting 84 percent from the free throw line.
