DeLeye scored early in the match off an assist from Mackinly Rohn and the Junior Blues blanked the Crusaders for the match to improve to 2-0 on the season.
Senior Hailey Beck picked up the shutout in goal for Washburn Rural.
Washburn Rural will return to action Tuesday against Blue Valley Southwest at 5 p.m. in the opening round of the Olathe Northwest tournament at the College Boulevard Activities Complex.
West earns softball split with 5A power Seaman
Topeka West softball posted a statement win in last Thursday's United Kansas Conference doubleheader at perennial Class 5A stalways Seaman, with the 2-2 Chargers taking a 6-3 first-game decision to end a long losing skid against the Vikings.
Seaman, which advanced to the Class 5A state tournament last seasson, came back to rout West in the second game, 13-1.
Seaman, 1-1, will play another big UKC game on Tuesday, facing Shawnee Heights in a 5 p.m. contest at the Lake Shawnee softball complex.
T-Bird baseball goes 3-0 in opening week
Shawnee Heights' baseball team, a Class 5A state tournament qualiifier last last season, turned in an impressive opening week, with three straight victories.
The T-Birds ended the week with a 13-3 win over United Kansas Conference for Kansas City-Turner, Heights' third win in as many days.
Shawnee Heights opened the week with a 15-0 win over Turner before rallying for a 7-6 win over Bishop Miege.
Shawnee Heights will be at Bettis Family Sports Complex Tuesday, hosting Seaman in a 5 p.m. UKC game.

Class 5A power Seaman opened its baseball season with a home United Kansas Conference twinbill sweep over Topeka West Friday night.
The Vikings took a 15-0 win in the opener before taking a 14-0 deciion in the nightcap.
Seaman only allowed three base runners on the night.
Viking soccer blanks Emporia 6-0
Seaman soccer improved to 2-0 on the season with a 6-0 home non-league victory over Emporia last Thursday.
The Vikings scored three goals in both halves en route to the convincing win.
