Highland Park pushed its consecutive game shutout streak to three games on Friday, with the Scots improving to 3-0 overall and in the Meadowlark Conference with a 32-0 road win over Kansas City-Schlagle.

Highland Park has now outscored its three Meadowlark Conference opponents by a 126-0 margin, with Friday's game its closest outcome of the season.
Scot senior Jamon Wilson continued his red hot start to the 2024 season with a pair of touchdowns, including an 80-yard kickoff return to open the second half.
Highland Park will be back at Hummer Sports Park on Friday for a Meadowlark Conference game against KC-Harmon, which is 1-2 on the season.

TOPEKA HIGH 26, WICHITA SOUTHEAST 0 -- Topeka High improved to a perfect 3-0 on the season with Friday's weather-shortened 26-0 non-league road win over Wichita Southeast.
The Trojans have now posted three straight wins over members of the Wichita City League.
Topeka High led 13-0 when the game was delayed for approximately an hour due to lightning.
High then added to its advantage with a 45-yard TD pass from Zane Smith to Saron Carter and led 26-0 at the half when the game was called due to the inclement weather conditions in the area.
Carter led the Trojans' attack with three TDs on the night.
Topeka High will open Centennial League play next Friday at Emporia's Welch Stadium.

SILVER LAKE 18, PERRY-LECOMPTON 12 -- Silver Lake bounced back from its loss to two-time defending Class 2A state champion Nemaha Central with Friday's 18-12 road win over Perry-Lecompton.
Junior Dayne Johnson had a big night for the 2-1 Eagles, catching a pair of touchdown passes from senior quarterback Dysen Schooler.
Silver Lake held a 7-6 lead at the half and led 15-12 at the start of the fourth quarter before adding a field goal in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles will be back on the road Friday to face Big East League foe St. Marys.
PLATTE COUNTY, MO. 49, WASHBURN RURAL 20 -- Washburn Rural got defensive touchdowns from juniors Jordy Heim and Elijah Gaines and a 76-yard TD pass from junior John Hoytal to senior Blake Recinos, but the 1-2 Junior Blues couldn't keep pace with the 4-0 Pirates in Friday's non-league road contest.
The Junior Blues led 7-0 after Heim's touchdown and trailed just 14-13 after Gaines' score before Platte County took control.
Washburn Rural will be back at Bowen-Glaze Stadium next Friday, hosting Blue Valley Northwest in Rural's Homecoming game.

NEMAHA CENTRAL 31, ROSSVILLE 28 -- A furious second-half Rossville rally fell three points short Friday night as two-time defending Class 2A state champion Nemaha Central held on for the 31-28 Big East win.
The 2-1 Thunder took a 31-14 lead with 3:29 left in the third quarter, but the 0-3 Bulldawgs gave themselves a chance with a 1-yard touchdown run from senior Tayson Horak and a 65-yard TD pass from Horak to junior Jack Donovan that cut Rossville's deficit to the final margin before Nemaha Central was able to run out the clock for the win.
Rossville and Central were tied at 7-7 at the end of the first quarter, with the Bulldawgs getting a 44-yard scoring pass from Horak to Cameron Mitchell, but the Thunder scored 17 points to take a 24-7 halftime advantage.
Horak also scored on a 4-yard run in the third quarter while Vincent Daniel went four of four on extra point-kicks.
Rossville will be at home next Friday to host Maranatha Christian Academy in the Bulldawgs' Class 1A district opener.
