The Bulldawgs scored the only points they would need on a 1-yard Andre Johnson run (Vincent Daniel kick) at the 6:48 mark of the opening quarter and Rossville made it a 14-0 game with 2:10 left in the quarter on a 4-yard pass from Tayson Horak to Conner Bush (Daniel kick).

Rossville doubled up its lead with a pair of second-quarter TDs -- a 19-yard pass from Horak to Kameron Badura (Bush 2-point conversion run) 25 seconds into the quarter and a 1-yard Horak run (Daniel kick) with 8:35 left before halftime.

The Bulldawgs scored their final two touchowns of the night in the third quarter -- a 74-yard Bush run (Daniel kick) at the 10:36 mark and a 30-yard interception return from Bush with 8:30 left in the quarter (Daniel kick).

DE SOTO 69, SHAWNEE HEIGHTS 57 -- Shawnee Heights junior quarterback Aiden Scott threw for six touchdowns, but the T-Birds couldn't keep pace with the Wildcats, who posted a 69-57 United Kansas Conference victory.

Shawnee Heights (1-4 overall, 1-3 UKC) was tied 21-21 at the end of the first quarter but De Soto used a 20-7 second quarter to take a 41-28 halftime advantage.

The Wildcats (4-1, 4-1) went up 55-35 at the end of the third quarter before the two teams combined for 36 fourth-quarter points, including 22 by the T-Birds.

Scott threw 19, 8 and 10-yard touchdown passes to AJ Gallegos, 47 and 32-yard TDs to Parker Busenitz and an 80-yard strike to Tyren Parker.

Scott also scored on a 4-yard run.

WICHITA EAST 74, HIGHLAND PARK 6 -- Highland Park scored early but the rest of the game belonged to the host Blue Aces, who posted a dominating 74-6 decision while handing the 4-1 Scots their first loss of the season.

Wichita East, now 3-2, scored 36 points in the opening quarter, the first points the Scots had given up all season, to take a commanding 36-6 lead.

The Blue Aces, a Class 6A quarterfinalist in 2023, made it a 44-6 game at the half and East scored 30 points in the second half.
