Trevion Alexander, Topeka West

A 6-foot-3 senior, Alexander was a first-team All-City selection last season, helping lead West to a 14-8 record and an eight-win improvement over the 2018-19 season. Alexander was a second-team All-Centennial League pick and averaged 12.9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.5 steals. Alexander is averaging 28.2 points this season for the 4-0 Chargers, with two 30-plus outings.

Joe Berry

Joe Berry, Washburn Rural

Berry, a 6-3 senior, earned All-City top-five honors for the second straight season after averaging 17 points and 5 rebounds and leading the Junior Blues to a 16-5 record and a share of the Centennial League title. He was named Centennial League co-player of the year. Berry, who helped Rural post a runner-up state finish as a sophomore, is averaging 13 points this season for 3-1 Rural.

Elijah Brooks 270

Elijah Brooks, Topeka West

A 6-3 junior, Brooks was a first-team All-City selection after a solid sophomore season. A first-team All-Centennial League pick, Brooks teamed with Alexander to lead Topeka West to a 14-8 record and an eight-win improvement. Brooks averaged 17.2 points and 6.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.8 steals a year ago and averaged 15.5 points over the first two games this season before being sidelined with an injury..

Noah Hastert

Noah Hastert, Cair Paravel Latin

A 6-6 junior, Hastert returns for the Lions after averaging 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals last season as Cair Paravel posted a 20-5 record. An All-City Top 11 pick in football this fall, Hastert is the lone returning starter for Cair Paravel and is currently averaging 14.2 points, 11.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 3.2 steals and 2.2 blocks for the 3-2 Lions.

Ty Henry, Seaman

A 6-3 junior, Henry averaged 8.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists last season for the Vikings despite missing a chunk of the season with an injury. Henry is off to a hot start this season for the 2-3 Vikings, who have been competitive in every game, including three OT tilts. Henry is averaging 13 points and 4.6 rebounds thus far, with a pair of 18-point games. 

Jack Hutchinson

Jack Hutchinson, Washburn Rural

Hutchinson, a 6-0 senior, earned third-team All-City honors as a junior, helping Washburn Rural post a 16-5 record and earn a share of the Centennial League championship. Hutchinson averaged 9 points and 2 assists last season, earning All-City and All-Centennial League honorable mention. Hutchinson is off to a hot start this season, averaging 15.5 points for the 3-1 Junior Blues.

Isiah Johnson, Shawnee Heights

Johnson was a third-team All-City selection as a junior, helping lead Shawnee Heights to a 12-10 record. The 5-9 senior averaged 11.9 points last season and earned second-team All-United Kansas Conference honors. Johnson opened his senior season with a 32-point effort in a win over Tonganoxie and had 29 points in a double-OT loss to West. He has hit 12 3-pointers on the season.

Juan’Tario Roberts, Highland Park

A junior, Roberts earned second-team All-City and All-Centennial League recognition as a sophomore after helping lead the Scots to a Class 5A state tournament berth and a 15-8 record. Roberts averaged 16 points and 2.6 assists last season and is averaging 14.7 points thus far this season for the 2-2 Scots, with a high game of 28 points in a win over Topeka High.

JalenSmith

Jalen Smith, Topeka High

A 6-2 senior, Smith earned second-team All-City honors last season when he averaged 10.9 points, 1.9 steals and led the city with 4.4 assists per game for the 16-6 Trojans, who earned a share of the Centennial League championship. Smith is averaging 16 points for the Trojans over his first three games this season with a high of 23 points against Highland Park.

Geivonnii Williams, Hayden

A 6-1 senior, Williams is averaging a team-high 19.5 points in his first season at Hayden after transferring from Topeka High, where he was a starter for the Trojans a year ago. Williams has scored at least 17 points in three of four games this season for the 2-2 Wildcats, including a career-high 35-point performance in a road victory over Manhattan.
