Seaman's girls and Highland Park's boys have climbed to the No. 1 spots in the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association Class 5A girls and boy state rankings, released Tuesday.

Both the Vikings and Scots were ranked No. 2 in the most recent KBCA polls before making the jump to the top spots this week.

Seaman and Highland Park are two of 10 Shawnee County teams in this week's KBCA rankings this week, with Shawnee Heights' girls and Washburn Rural's boys both newcomers to th the state rankings.

Silver Lake's girls remain No. 2 in the 3A girls rankings behind No. 1 Goodland.

Washburn Rural jumped to No. 5 in the 6A girls rankings while Topeka High is No. 8.

Shawnee Heights' girls entered the 5A rankings at No. 9 while Rossville's girls are No. 10 in 3A.

Washburn Rural entered the 6A boys rankings at No. 10 while Topeka West is No. 6 in 5A and Hayden No. 6 in 4A.
