Washbuurn University men's basketball will travel to Missouri Western for a 7:30 p.m. MIAA road contest Thursday night in St. Joseph, Mo.

The Ichabods, 15-9 overall, 12-6 in the MIAA, have won their last two games and five of their last seven after an 85-74 win over Central Missouri last Saturday.

Missouri Western (12-13, 8-9 MIAA) is coming off a 73-67 win at Newman on Monday night in Wichita.

The Ichabods won the first meeting against the Griffons, 76-64, at Lee Arena on Jan. 8.

Washburn senior Tyler Geiman went over the 4,000-minutes played mark in a recent win over Lincoln and has now played more minutes than any Ichabod in program history.

Geiman needs six games played to pass Keith Downing for the most appearances in Washburn history with 137.

Geiman leads the Ichabods with a 15.1 scoring average, 6.1 rebounds per game and a 6.6 assist average. In the last nine games Geiman is averaging 18.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 7.0 assists for WU.

Geiman has scored 1,648 points in 131 career games, which is seventh all-time on the Ichabod chart. 

Junior Jalen Lewis is scoring 13.0 prer game while hitting 49 of 131 3-pointers (.374) and is currently 11th on the Ichabod all-time scoring chart with 1,329 career points in 112 career games.

Lewis ranks No. 1 on Washburn list with 246 career 3-pointers.

Senior Jeremy Harrell is averaging 9.4 points and 4.9 rebouns for Washburn, while freshman Michadel Keegan averages 9.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

JaQuaylon Mays leads the Griffons with a 17.5 scoring average while Will Eames averages 12.8 points and 8.1 rebounds.

The Ichabods will travel to Northwest Missouri on Saturday.
