Hayden's softball team picked up its first wins of the season Friday at Emporia, with the Wildcats taking 11-0 and 8-2 wins over the Centennial League-rival Spartans.

Hayden sophomore Alyssa Droge picked up both pitching wins for the 2-4 Wildcats, including a one-hit, eight-strikeout performance in the first game.

Droge followed that with a seven-hit, five-strikeout game in the nightcap.

Hayden freshman Ava Delgado went 3 for 4 in the opener with a triple and six runs batted in while sophomore Tatum Abbey had a solo home run and junior Carly Stuke had a double and a pair of RBI.

Wildcat senior Alyssa Dinkel and junior Sandy Anguiano both had a pair of hits in the first game while Droge had a triple.

Dinkel also had two hits in the second game while Stuke had a triple and three RBI, Delgado knocked in two runs and sophomore Maylee Burris had a triple.

Hayden is scheduled to return to action Tuesday, hosting Piper in a non-league doubleheader.
