Sophomore Kaeden Bonner and junior Ty Henry combined for 37 points as Seaman bounced back from a first-round loss in Valley Center's January Jam to take a 65-50 consolation win over the host Hornets Friday.

Bonner led the Vikings with 19 points and Henry added 18 as the Vikings evened their record at 4-4 while ending 9-2 Valley Center's nine-game winning streak.

Seaman, which opened its tournament bid with a 61-48 loss to Wichita Heights on Thursday, also got 10 points from junior Brody Gormley in the win.

Seaman led 30-27 at the half and outscored the Hornets 16-9 in the third quarter to open up some breathing room (46-36) and the Vikings continued to pull away in the fourth.

CAIR PARAVEL LATIN BOYS 74, BURLINGAME 65

Luke Fay scored a game-high 23 points for the Lions, while Noah Hastert added 19 points and Zachary Clark had 18.

Cair Paravel, which improved to 7-3, outscored the 4-4 Bearcats by a slight margin in all four quarters.

ST. JOSEPH-CENTRAL BOYS 42, WASHBURN RURAL 39

St. Joseph-Central, Mo. hit 8 3-pointers in the game, including six from La'Var Felder, and survived a late Washburn Rural rally to hold on for the 42-39 win in the fifth-place game of the Basehor-Linwood Invitational.

Central built a 38-28 lead going into the fourth period, but the Junior Blues clamped down defensively in the fourth quarter and rallied to give themselves a chance late.

Senior Joe Berry led the 6-3 Junior Blues with 17 points, but was the lone Rural player with more than 7 points.
