Silver Lake's boys rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to take a 52-46 Mid-East League road win at Rock Creek Friday night.

The Eagles trailed 30-22 at the half but outscored the Mustangs 17-6 in the third quarter to take a 39-36 lead into the fourth quarter.

Silver Lake outscored Rock Creek 13-10 in the fourth stanza to hold on for the win, avenging a 51-38 home loss to the Mustangs on Jan. 5.

Junior Brody Deiter led Silver Lake with 19 points, going 5 of 6 at the free throw line.

Elijah Lopez added 14 for the Eagles, who improved to 11-7 overall and 5-4 in the Mid-East.

Silver Lake will travel to Royal Valley on Tuesday before hosting Wabaunsee on Thursday.

McDaniel's 28 points leads Silver Lake girls to 66-33 romp past Rock Creek

Emporia State signee Makenzie McDaniel scored 28 points to lead the way as undefeated and top-ranked (Class 3A) Silver Lake rolled to a 66-33 Mid-East League win at Rock Creek Friday night.

Silver Lake, which improved to 18-0 overall and 9-0 in the Mid-East League, took control with a 27-8 first quarter and led 48-14 at the half and 64-25 at the start of the fourth quarter, forcing a running clock over the final eight minutes.

Senior McKinley Kruger added 16 points for Silver Lake while senior Kaylee Deiter finished with 11.

The Eagles will play at Royal Valley Tuesday before hosting Wabaunsee on Thursday in their regular-season finale.

Rossville girls ride defense to 41-25 Mid-East League win over Falcons

Rossville's girls didn't allow more than nine points in a quarter Friday night en route to a 41-25 Mid-East League win over Riley County.

The Bulldawgs, who improved to 16-3, led 8-5 at the end of the opening quarter, 21-14 at the half and 29-23 at the start of the fourth quarter before outscoring Riley County 12-2 over the final eight minutes to clinch the victory.

Sophomore Riley Dick led the Bulldawgs on the offensive end, finishing with 19 points.

Dick hit three 3-pointers and went 6 of 6 at the free throw line on the night.

Rossville will close out its regular season at Rock Creek Tuesday night.

Miller's 25-point night paces Bulldawgs 68-34 win over Riley County

Sophomore Cameron Miller scored 25 points with three 3-pointers to lead Rossville in a 68-34 Mid-East romp past Riley County Friday night.

Sophomore Jack Donovan added 14 points with four 3-pointers for the Bulldawgs while becoming Rossville's single-season leader in made 3-pointers.

Rossville, which improved to 13-6 overall and 7-2 in the league, opened up a 33-17 halftime advantage and put the game out of reach with a 24-8 third quarter, forcing a running clock over the final eight minutes.

The Bulldawgs will close out the regular season on Tuesday at Rock Creek.

No. 3-ranked Scots take 76-50 win over KC-Sumner

Highland Park's boys improved to 17-1 overall and 10-0 in the Meadowlark Conference with a 76-50 win over Kansas City-Sumner Academy Friday night.

Senior Tamir Anderson and junior Mikey Williams led Highland Park, ranked No. 3 in Class 5A, with 18 points apiece while junior Ja'Corey Robinson added 15 points and senior Amari Taylor 12.

The Scots will play at KC-Harmon on Tuesday before closing out the regular season Friday against KC-Washington.

Hi Park girls rally past KC-Sumner, 57-43

Highland Park trailed KC-Sumner Academy 13-6 at the end of the first quarter and 27-23 at the half before taking control with a 34-16 second-half scoring edge en route to the 57-43 Meadowlark Conference win Friday night.

The Scots, who improved to 12-5 overall and a league-leading 7-1 mark in the conference, was led by freshman Pearmella Carter, who had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds.

Angelique Gowan-Britt added 14 points and contributed seven assists and five steals for Highland Park while freshman Alieah Austin scored 12 points on four 3-pointers.

No. 2-ranked Vikings improve to 17-1

Seaman's girls, second-ranked in Class 5A, improved to 17-1 overall and a perfect 14-0 in the United Kansas Conference with a 61-30 romp past Basehor-Linwood Friday night.

Seaman led by a 22-15 margin at the half and then put the game away with a 28-point third quarter.

Junior Anna Becker had 20 points, 4 assists and 5 steals and 4 rebounds for Seaman while senior Taylin Stallbaumer had 14 points and four steals and junior Jaida Stallbaumer 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

Senior Elinore Stallbaumer scored seven points while Ava Esser had six points and five rebounds and Kinley Wilhelm five rebounds.

The Vikings will play city rival Shawnee Heights at Heights on Tuesday before closing out the regular season with a home game against KC-Turner on Thursday.

Bobcats take nailbiter over Seaman boys

Seaman's boys took Friday's UKC game against Basehor-Linwood down to the wire Friday night, dropping a 56-52 decision to the Bobcats.

The Vikings fell to 8-10 overall and 6-8 in the UKC.

Seaman will play at Shawnee Heights on Tuesday before hosting KC-Turner on Thursday.

Cair Paravel Latin's boys closed out its regular season with a 59-48 win over Heritage Christian Friday night.

The Lions improved to 12-8 with Friday's win.

CPLS girls fall to Heritage Christian

Cair Paravel Latin's girls basketball team dropped a 63-24 decision to Heritage Christian on Friday.
