LAWRENCE -- Friday’s Leitel Legacy Invitational Track Meet, hosted by Lawrence Free State, included 23 teams from across Kansas with five local schools participating - Hayden, Shawnee Heights, Seaman, Topeka West and Washburn Rural.

Ryin Miller continued her undefeated season with a season-best 10:17.74 in the 3,200 meters. It was the 29th best time in the United States this season.
“I was pretty happy with the race and have progressively built on each race. I’m trying to peak where I’m supposed to peak, which is the goal this season,” Miller said.
Miller’s second race of the day was in the 800 meters where she finished first in a time of 2:11.65, setting another season-best and also the 64th best time in the United States this season. Miller has her mind on an even faster time.
“I’ve been trying to break 2:10 this season and hoping that at some point this season, I’ll get there,” Miller said.
The Washburn Rural boys and girls swept the 4x800-meter relay races.

The girls -- Emily Graf, Payton Fink, Brooklyn Nolte and Rylee Ismert -- posted a season-best time of 9:35.40, while the boys -- Brooks Kehoe, Ben Buesing, Draden Chooncharoen and Isaiah Terry -- won in a time of 8:05.48.

Senior Jensen Schrickel of Hayden had two first-place finishes, in the 400 meters and long jump. He ran the 400 in a personal-best time of 48.30 seconds and had a season-best jump of 22-6 in the long jump.
Senior Molly Worley of Washburn Rural finished first in the high jump with a personal best of 5-4.
Washburn Rural sophomore Eve Luea had a personal-best throw of 107-11 in the discus to finish third.
Junior Morgan Ray of Washburn Rural won the girls javelin with a personal best of 133-9, which is the 44th best in the United States this season.
Other local highlights:
- Senior Bella Reid of Hayden finished third in the 100-meter hurdles in a time 16.57 seconds.
- Washburn Rural sophomore Christian Hartman-Babb finished second in the 100 meters with a personal-best time of 10.94 seconds.
- Freshman Henry Laubach of Washburn Rural finished third in the 3,200 meters in a personal-best of 9:41.18.
- Washburn Rural’s girls 4x100-meter relay team finished third with a time of 51.10 seconds.
- Seaman senior Jaida Stallbaumer placed third in the 300-meter hurdles in a season-best time of 48.44 seconds.
- Junior Liam Morrison of Washburn Rural finished second in the 300-meter hurdles in a season best time of 40.05 seconds.
- Seaman junior Brody Anderson finished third in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4:20.34.
- The girls 4x400 meter relay team from Seaman finished third in a time of 4:08.88.
