City schools swept all four championships in Saturday's Seaman Invitational at Shawnee North Community Center.

Host Seaman swept the girls titles, with sophomore Ryin Miller leading a 1-2-3-5 Viking finish as Seaman won the team championship by a 21-47 margin over Lawrence.

Shawnee Heights senior Jackson Esquibel won the boys individual title while Washburn Rural and Seaman went one-two in the team standings, with the Junior Blues winning by a 58-69 margin over the Vikings.

Miller won the girls individual title in a five-kilometer time of 18 minutes, 31.76 seconds while freshman Brynn Spencer was second in 20:02.43, junior Stella Appelhanz third in 20:39.44 and senior Savannah Sampson fifth in 21:10.46.

Topeka High freshman Juliahnna Savage posted a seventh-place finish (21:40.22).

Esquibel turned in a dominating performance in the boys race, winning by 49 seconds in a time of 15:57.55.

Seaman sophomore Brody Anderson was the runnerup in 16:46.36 while Viking sophomore Jack Walker placed fifth in 17:16.17.

 Balance carried Washburn Rural to the team title, with the Junior Blues placing all of their top five runners in the first 15 places.

Sophomore Brooks Kehoe led Rural with a seventh-place finish while sophomore Higgins Hawks was 10th (17:35.60), junior Connor Olsen 12th (17:39.30), senior Max Gutierrez 14th (17:51.79) and junior Brody Tenbrink 15th (17:52.44).

Topeka West senior Elijah Phelps cracked the top 10 with a ninth-place finish (17:30.56).

All city schools are scheduled to compete in the City Championships next Saturday at Kanza Park.
