Aguirre, a senior, scored five goals and added an assist in two Topeka High soccer wins on the week as the Trojans improved to 3-1. Aguirre scored four goals in last Monday's 9-1 win over USD 501 rival Highland Park at Hummer Sports Park and had a goal and an assist in Thursday's 2-1 win over city rival Shawnee Heights at the Bettis Family Sports Complex.

A junior who is only in his second year of high school cross country, Anderson has opened his 2024 season with back-to-back individual titles. Seaman's five-kilometer school record-holder, Anderson won at Manhattan in his season-opener before following that up with a 21-second win in Saturday's Joe Schrag Invitational at Kanza Park, clocking a winning time of 15 minutes, 17.05 seconds.

IZZY GLOTZBACH, Hayden

A two-sport fall athlete in golf and tennis, the Hayden junior won championships in both sports last week. Glotzbach teamed with senior Emily Sheetz to win the No. 1 doubles championship in last Tuesday's Hayden Invitational tennis tournament at Kossover Tennis Center with a 9-7 win over Marysville and she shared the individual title in Thursday's Seaman Invitational golf tournament on Thursday at Village Greens Golf Course with a 76, leading the Wildcats to a second-place team finish.

RYIN MILLER, Seaman

A junior, Miller shattered the all-time Kansas girls five-kilometer cross country mark by more than 13 seconds in a blazing time of 16 minutes, 32.62 seconds on Saturday while winning her third straight Joe Schrag Invitational title by 2 minutes, 28 seconds. Miller moved past one of the most accomplished runners in Kansas history, former Girard superstar Cailie Logue of Girard, who clocked a time of 16:45.75 at Baldwin in 2016 before going on to earn multiple All-American honors and Big 12 Conference titles for Iowa State.

REECE RANDALL, Washburn Rural

Randall, a senior golf standout for the Junior Blues, tied for first place individually in last Thursday's Seaman Invitational at Village Greens Golf Course while leading Washburn Rural to the team championship by an 11-stroke margin. Randall shot a 76 to share medalist honors with Hayden junior Izzy Glotzbach while leading Washburn Rural to the team title by a 327-338 margin over the Wildcats.

AIDEN SCOTT, Shawnee Heights

A junior first-year starter at quarterback, Scott has eclipsed the 300-yard passing mark in his first two games of 2024, including a 16 of 26 performance for 333 yards and three touchdowns in Friday's 53-8 United Kansas Conference victory over Topeka West at Hummer Sports Park. Scott, who also rushed for a TD against Topeka West, has now completed 40 of 66 passes for 655 yards and five touchdowns for the 1-1 T-Birds.
