JACK BACHELOR, Washburn University

A 6-foot-2 freshman, Bachelor came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points in Saturday's 93-71 MIAA win over Rogers State at Lee Arena. Bachelor, a former star at Washburn Rural, hit six of nine field goal attempts and three of five 3-point shots and two of two free throws against Rogers State as the 5-3 Ichbods picked up their first conference victory of the season. Bachelor also contributed three assists and two blocked shots for the Ichabods.

COOPER COLBOCH, Hayden

Colboch, a 5-foot-11 senior, scored 51 points with 11 3-pointers in three Paul Terry Classic games at Emporia's White Auditorium, helping lead the Wildcats to a 2-1 tournament record to open their 2023-2024 season. Colboch scored 22 points and hit six 3-pointers in Thursday's 69-53 win over Wichita Trinity and ended the tournament with 23 points and five 3s in Saturday's 66-47 win over Spring Hill. Colboch scored six points in Friday's 50-44 loss to tournament champion Emporia.

RYLEE DICK, Rossville

A sophomore, Dick was named the tournament's most valuable player in Chapman's Irish Classic after helping lead Rossville to three straight wins and the championship. Dick scored 23 points with three 3-pointers and a six of six performance at the free throw line in Saturday's 83-40 win over Chapman after scoring 16 points in Friday's 60-45 win over Salina Sacred Heart and 23 points with three 3s in Tuesday's 105-16 first-round victory over Kansas City-Bishop Ward.

BRYLEE MEIER, Hayden

Meier, a 6-foot junior, helped lead Hayden's girls basketball team to a 3-0 record and the championship in last week's Paul Terry Classic at Emporia's White Auditorium. Meier scored 55 points in the Wildcats' three tournament wins, including 29 points with four 3-pointers in Saturday's 57-35 win over Wichita Trinity. Meier scored nine points and grabbed 13 rebounds in Hayden's 48-30 win over Spring Hill on Thursday and scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in Friday's 50-45 win over Emporia.

MACKINLY ROHN, Washburn University

A 5-foot-7 freshman forward, Rohn scored the game-winning goal in last Thursday's 1-0 national semifinal soccer victory over Adelphi in Matthews, N.C., helping Washburn University to advance to its first-ever NCAA Division II championship game. Rohn, a former standout for Washburn Rural, finished her season with four goals and seven assists as the national-runnerup Ichabods finished with a program-record 21-4-1 record.

JARET SANCHEZ, Shawnee Heights

Sanchez, a 6-foot-5 junior, scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds on Friday as Shawnee Heights picked up its first victory over the season, a 47-42 home United Kansas Conference decision over Topeka West. Sanchez hit a pair of 3-pointers in the T-Bird win and went 10 of 12 from the free throw line, including six of six charities over the final 2:15 of the game. Earlier in the week Sanchez scored 27 points in Heights' 66-58 UKC loss to Piper.
