COOPER GRACE, HAYDEN
Grace, a senior pitcher and third baseman, was named the Class 4A co-player of the year by the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches for the 2025 season while also being named the Centennial League player of the year after helping Hayden post a perfect record in the league while the Wildcats went 23-1 overall.
KATE HINCK, Washburn Rural
Hinck, a senior forward, finished her outstanding high school soccer career with 82 goals, setting the Junior Blues' career scoring record. Also a volleyball and basketball standout for Washburn Rural, Hinck scored 28 goals as a senior as the Junior Blues capped a 19-2-0 season with the school's first Class 6A state title, taking a 1-0 (4-1 penalty kicks) decision over Mill Valley in the state final.
RYIN MILLER, Seaman
Miller, a junior track star, swept her three individual events in the Class 5A state track and field championships at Wichita, giving her five individual state titles for her career. Miller won the 3,200 meters in 10:19.53, the 1,600 in 4:57.33 and the 800 in 2:11.14. Miller also teamed with seniors Taylie Heston, Jaida Stallbaumer and Ally Steiner to finish fourth in the 4x400 relay in 4:03.44.
LIAM MORRISON, Washburn Rural
A junior track star, Morrison captured a pair of gold medals in the Class 6A state track and field state championships at Wichita. Morrison won the 300-meter hurdles in 37.68 seconds and ran on the Junior Blues' winning 4x400-meter relay team, which set a 6A state meet record in 3:16.23 on the way to their second straight state title in the event. Morrison also placed sixth in the 110 hurdles.
DEACON POMEROY, Shawnee Heights
A standout pitcher and catcher for the Shawnee Heights' baseball team, Pomeroy was named the United Kansas Conference player of the year for the second straight season after helping lead the 21-8 T-Birds to the UKC title and a berth in the Class 5A state tournament. Pomeroy was also named to the 5A All-State first team by the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches.
ISAIAH TERRY, Washburn Rural
Terry, a senior track star, captured two Class 6A gold medals in the state track and field state championships at Wichita. Terry won the 400-meter dash in 47.92 seconds and also teamed with Morrison, senior Matthew Houser and junior Draden Chooncharoen on the Junior Blues' winning 4x400-meter relay team, which set a 6A state meet record in 3:16.23 on the way to a second straight state title in the event.
