Braun, a 6-foot-4 redshirt freshman, turned in the biggest week of his Washburn career, scoring 34 points in two wins while canning 11 of 15 3-pointers. Braun had 19 points and 6 3s against Missouri Southern and 15 points on 5 3s against Pittsburg State.

A senior two-time state champion, Murray won the 120-pound Centennial League wrestling title Saturday at Hayden, improving to 19-1 on the season. Murray won his third straight league title, helping the Junior Blues win their second straight league team crown.

A junior 115-pounder, Murray went 3-0 on the day to become Seaman's first-ever Centennial League girls wrestling champion Friday at Seaman and was later named the outstanding wrestler in the Centennial League tournament.

Powell, a 6-foot-7 senior, scored a season-high 26 points as 3-3 Highland Park handed Topeka West its first loss of the season, with the Scots taking a 57-54 overtime Centennial League decision over the Chargers at Highland Park.
