MANHATTAN (6-8, 2-2) at HAYDEN (8-4, 1-3)
No. 8-ranked (Class 4A) Hayden has been off since winning the Wellsville Top Gun Tournament last Saturday with a 48-39 win over Spring Hill. The Wildcats have now won four straight games and put sophomores Brylee Meier and Kaliya Fulton and junior Lauren Sandstrom on the all-tournament team. Manhattan is coming off a 46-35 win over Dodge City and has won two straight games for the first time this season.
EMPORIA (12-2, 3-1) at WASHBURN RURAL (9-4, 4-0)
No. 4-ranked (Class 6A) Washburn Rural will be looking to protect its lead in the Centennial League race while No. 4 (5A) Emporia will be looking to pull even with the Junior Blues. Both teams are coming off losses, with the Spartans dropping a last-second 46-43 decision to Seaman in the Glaciers Edge championship game last Saturday while Rural fell to non-league foe Blue Valley Northwest in overtime on Tuesday, 54-52. Senior Brooklyn DeLeye scored 19 points against Blue Valley Northwest while senior Chloe Carlgren added 11 points and sophomore Tenly Bunck nine points on three 3-pointers.
LEAVENWORTH (2-11, 2-7) at SHAWNEE HEIGHTS (9-5, 7-3)
Ninth-ranked (Class 5A) Shawnee Heights is coming off a tough 37-33 United Kansas Conference loss at Basehor-Linwood Tuesday night while Leavenworth is coming off a 59-26 loss to Bonner Springs. Shawnee Heights took 49-36 UKC win over the Pioneers earlier in the season. All five of Shawnee Heights losses have been by four or fewer points. Senior Riley Showalter led the T-Birds with 11 points against Basehor-Linwood while seniors Emari Doby and Taylor Rottinghaus added 10 and seven points, respectively.
KC-WYANDOTTE (4-6, 3-3) at HIGHLAND PARK (10-3, 6-0)
Highland Park has won five straight games, including a forfeit over Meadowlark Conference opponent Kansas City-Schlagle Thursday night. The league-leading Scots posted a 65-23 league win over KC-Washington on Tuesday. Wyandotte is coming off a 58-27 Tuesday win over KC-Harmon. Scot sophomore Amelia Holmes scored 18 points with 17 rebounds and five blocks against Washington. The Scots took a 53-25 win over the Bulldogs in the first meeting between the two teams.
WABAUNSEE (3-10, 0-5) at ROSSVILLE (10-4, 2-3)
Rossville is coming off a 51-46 Mid-East League win over St. Marys, avenging an earlier loss to the Bears, while Wabaunsee is coming off a 40-38 non-league loss to Lyndon. Junior Kinley Porter paced the Bulldawgs with 17 points against St. Marys while Shyanne Haehn added 10 points, Kinsey Perine eight points and Rylee Dick seven.
TOPEKA HIGH (11-3, 2-2) at JUNCTION CITY (3-11, 1-4)
Topeka High, ranked No. 5 in Class 6A, was off Tuesday after winning the Firebird Classic last Saturday at Free State with a 56-51 win over Blue Valley, with the Trojans avenging a loss to the Tigers in last season's state tournament. Junior Ladaysha Baird scored a career-high 23 points with six 3-pointers in the win over Blue Valley while senior Kiki Smith added 16 points. Junction City is coming off a 47-27 loss to Blue Valley Northwest.
SEAMAN (12-1, 8-1) at DE SOTO (9-5, 7-4)
Top-ranked (Class 5A) Seaman won the Glaciers Edge Tournament last Saturday at Emporia, taking a 46-43 win over the host Spartans on a late 3-pointer from junior Taylin Stallbaumer. The Vikings returned to United Kansas Conference play on Tuesday, taking a 56-43 home win over Piper. Stallbaumer scored 15 points with three 3-pointers and sophomore Anna Becker added 14 points against Piper. De Soto is coming off a 53-13 win over KC-Turner. Seaman took a 47-36 UKC win over De Soto in an earlier meeting.
TOPEKA WEST (4-10, 3-7) at KC-TURNER (1-11, 0-8)
Topeka West has won three of its last five games, including a 31-30 United Kansas Conference win over Lansing on Tuesday. Turner is coming off a 53-13 loss to De Soto and the Bears dropped a 49-11 decision to the Chargers in an earlier meeting. Junior Brooklyn Alexander led a balanced West scoring attack against Lansing with eight points while senior Azaryah Duncan added seven points and senior Jazmyn Ford six.
CAIR PARAVEL LATIN (4-10) at MARAIS DES CYGNES VALLEY (9-6)
Cair Paravel dropped a 35-32 Kaw Valley Conference decision to Kansas City Christian on Tuesday while Marais des Cygnes Valley is coming off a 57-26 win over Cornerstone. Freshman Kell Ann Chada led Cair Paravel with nine points against the Panthers while Abby Kuder added eight points.
SILVER LAKE (14-1, 5-1) at ST. MARYS (5-8, 2-4)
Silver Lake will be playing for the second straight night after taking a 64-38 non-league win over Clay Center Thursday night. Juniors Makenzie McDaniel and McKinley Kruger scored 19 and 14 points, respectively for the No. 6-ranked (Class 3A) Eagles. St. Marys is coming off a 51-46 Mid-East League loss to Rossville Tuesday night. Silver Lake took a 59-36 league win over the Bears in an earlier meeting.
