Shawnee Heights snapped a two-game losing streak with a 49-6 United Kansas Conference win over Topeka West last Friday. T-Bird junior Allen Baughman carried the ball 12 times for 153 yards and five touchdowns against Topeka West and enters Friday night's game against Leavenworth with 1,140 yards and 15 touchdowns on 152 attempts. Alex Dittman leads the T-Birds with 54 tackles while Jon Scott and Sean Wunter have 46 and 45 stops, respectively.

TOPEKA WEST (1-6) at WASHBURN RURAL (5-2)

Washburn Rural took a 49-14 Centennial League win over Emporia last week while Topeka West js coming off a 49-6 United Kansas Conference defeat against Shawnee Heights. Rural junior Branton DeWeese completed seven of seven passes for 91 yards and two TDs last week while junior Titan Osburn caught three passes for 67 yards and three TDs. Senor Ma'Kenttis Adams had three carries for 76 yards and a TD while DeWeese carried the ball six times for 57 yards and a pair of TDs. Senior Ty Weber registered eight tackles (seven solo), with three tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. Topeka West senior quarterback Malachi Berg scored West's lone TD against West on a 16-yard run and rushed for 96 yards and passed for 112 yards.

HAYS (6-1) at TOPEKA HIGH (1-6) 

Topeka High dropped a 54-12 Centennial League decision at Junction City while Hays is coming off a 56-12 win over Liberal, which handed High a 27-0 defeat earlier in the year. Hays' lone loss was a 31-21 decision to undefeated Manhattan. Topeka High dropped a 59-7 league game to Manhattan in Week 2. High sophomore Jayden Norman has caught 43 passes for 620 yards and four touchdowns while senior quarterback Peyton Wheat has completed 82 of 174 passes for 1,240 yards and six touchdowns.

MARANATHA ACADEMY (0-6, 0-3 district) at CAIR PARAVEL LATIN (2-5, 0-4 district)

Cair Paravel wraps up Eight-Man Division I play Friday night after dropping an 54-8 district decision to Chase County last Friday. Cair Paravel junior Evan Will went 9 of 13 passing for 74 yards and a touchdowns against Chase County while Jachin Bonura caught six passes for 64 yards and a TD. Maranatha Academy is coming off a 63-14 district loss to Burlingame

HAYDEN (6-1) at HIAWATHA (2-5)

Hayden suffered its first loss of the season last week at Holton, a 37-13 Class 3A district loss, while Hiawatha is coming off of a 43-13 loss to Marysville. Both teams have completed district play. Junior Finn Dunshee scored both Hayden touchdowns again Holton, returning the opening kickoff 90 yards and adding a 26-yard TD run.

HIGHLAND PARK (5-2, 4-1 Meadowlark) at KC-WASHINGTON (3-4, 3-2 Meadowlark)

Highland Park snapped a two-game losing streak with a 63-0 non-league win at Kansas City-Northeast, Mo. last Friday while KC-Washington is coming off a 22-20 Meadowlark Conference win over KC-Schlagle. Highland Park senior star Tre Richardson scored six touchdowns against Northeast, scoring two TDs on punt returns, two on rushes and two on pass receptions. Senor A'Ydren Drew-Gregory picked off three passes, returning two for TDs. Richardson has carried the ball 78 times for 1,499 yards and 21 touchdowns and caught 28 passes for 804 yards and 11 TDs. Senior Kei'Juan Johnson has completed 53 of 73 passes for 1,098 yards and 10 TDs and rushed for 499 yards and four TDs on 44 attempts.

SEAMAN (4-2, 4-2 UKC) at PIPER (4-3, 4-2 UKC)

Seaman dropped a 47-32 United Kansas Conference decision to Basehor-Linwood while Piper is coming off a 34-0 UKC win over Leavenworth. Viking sophomore quarterback Max Huston has completed 80 of 128 passes for 1,084 yards and nine touchdowns and carried the ball 60 times for 344 yards and seven TDs. Bryson Vawter has rushed for 604 yards and eight touchdowns on 98 attempts while junior Callen Barta has 31 pass receptions for 358 yards and three TDs. Vawter and senior Jaxson Thomas both have 43 tackles for the Vikings.

SILVER LAKE (5-2, 3-0 district) and ATCHISON COUNTY (6-1, 2-1 district)

Silver Lake took a 54-14 district win over Maur Hill-Mt. Academy while Atchion County beat Jackson Heights, 18-6. Silver Lake ran its winning streak to three games while continuing to set the pace in Class 2A District 3. The Eagles opened up a commanding 27-0 first-quarter lead over Maur Hill and made the score 54-0 at the half after another 27-0 quarter.

ROSSVILLE (3-4, 2-1 district) at MAUR HILL-MT. ACADEMY (2-5, 0-3 district)

Rossville is coming off a 56-6 district romp past Pleasant Ridge while Maur Hill is coming off a 54-14 loss to Silver Lake. Rossville junior quarterback Camden Horak had a big game against Pleasant Ridge and now has completed 70 of 124 pass attempts for 939 yards and eight touchdowns. Horak has rushed for 658 yards and seven TDs on 114 attempts while senior Kade Perine has carried the ball 84 times for 426 yards and seven TDs. Perine has also been in on 36 tackles.
