Seaman tennis star Emma Sweeney continued her outstanding senior season Tuesday at Kossover Tennis Center, claiming the No. 1 singles championship in the 11-school Topeka West Invitational.

The two-time city champion, who took an 8-1 win over Junction City's Hannah Micheel in Tuesday's championship match, led the Vikings to a second-place team finish behind Blue Valley West (53-51).

In addition to Sweeney's title, Seaman got second-place finishes from Lilli Wiens in No. 1 singles, Camryn Lux and Cadence Speer in No. 1 doubles and Prokop and Kallie Zurmely in No. 2 doubles.
Wiens dropped an 8-2 decision to Blue Valley West's Angie Wang in the No. 2 singles final while BV West took an 8-2 win over Lux and Speer in the No. 1 doubles final and took an 8-5 win over Prokop and Zurmely in the No. 1 doubles title match.
A split team from Washburn Rural finished seventh as a team while Shawnee Heights finished ninth and Topeka West 11th.
The Centennial League tournament will be held at Kossover on Monday while the United Kansas Conference meet will be contested on Tuesday at Kossover.
