Washburn Rural senior Rhiannon Good and Cair Paravel Latin freshman Avery Rosenow advanced through Thursday's Class 6A and 5A-1A preliminaries and semifinals to make it to Saturday's state diving finals at the Shawnee Mission District Aquatic Center.

Rosenow, who competed for Hayden in the regular season, competed in the morning 5A-1A session and will enter Saturday's 10 a.m. finals in seventh place.
Rosenow recorded a preliminary score of 151.05 and had a semifinal score of 230.10.
Maize South's Sydney Schumaker is setting the 5A-1A state pace with a semifinal score of 331.05 while two-time state champion Allisyn Weiss of Emporia is second at 326.00.
Good, who placed third in 6A as a junior before missing most of her senior season after surgery for a torn ACL, is currently in sixth place entering Saturday's 4 p.m. finals.
Good posted a preliminary score of 184.45 and had a semifinal score of 270.50.
Two-time state champ Irene Gettya of Olathe East is leading 6A with a semifinal score of 409.00.
Gerdel, Sobba, Del Castillo to compete in multiple events
Hayden junior Kaelyn Gerdel, Shawnee Heights junior Clara Sobba and Topeka High senior Hara Del Castillo are all scheduled to compete in two individual events in Friday's state prelims at the Shawnee Mission District Aquatics Center.

Gerdel will compete in the Class 5A-1A 200-yard freestyle and100 breaststroke while Sobba will compete in the 50 free and 100 free, with the 5A-1A prelims scheduled for for 10 a.m. Friday.
High's Del Castillo will compete in the 100 free and 100 backstroke, with the 6A prelims set for 4 p.m. Friday.
