Centennial League baseball champion Washburn Rural put four players on the all-league first team, led by senior player of the year Aidan Newbery.
Joining Newbery on the All-Centennial first team are seniors Austin Ditch and Nate Selm and junior Tyler Edmiston while Washburn Rural coach Jay Mastin was selected by league coaches as the co-coach of the year with Manhattan's Don Hess.
Washburn Rural posted a 9-1 league record to win the league title by two games and will take a 17-8 overall record into Class 6A postseason play.
Hayden, 17-5 on the season, is represented on the first team by seniors Connor Hanika, Kade Mitchell and Aiden Roberts.
Washburn Rural put seniors Isaac Ansley, Drew Moore and AJ Payne on the all-league second team while Hayden is represented by juniors Mason Becker and Caleb Menke.
Topeka High seniors Drayden Accosta and Elisha Guest and junior Cole Haubold all received honorable mention along with Hayden sophomore Max Becker, senior Brady Deutsch and junior Everett Tourtillott and Washburn Rural juniors Preston Bahr and Dominic Nimz and seniors Brody Haas and Gavin Payne.
Manhattan sophomore McLain Aslin was selected as the Centennial newcomer of the year.
