TopSports.News will host the 17th annual Topeka-Shawnee County Sports Awards/Hall of Fame Ceremony, continuing a tradition for the Topeka and Shawnee County sports community.

The 2022 Topeka Shawnee County Hall of Fame class includes Washburn Hall of Fame member and Shawnee Heights alum Dani (McHenry) Schmidt, Washburn Rural grad and Iowa State Hall of Fame member Kaylee Manns and Washburn Rural product and former Major League Baseball pitcher Aaron Crow.

TSN is proud to preserve and continue this annual event to recognize our area student athletes.

Our ten area schools will be asked to nominate one female and male candidate with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average as the outstanding student athlete for each of the categories listed below.

Also recognized will be an outstanding female and male athlete from Washburn University. This year we will also introduce a new award with the Topeka Officials Association, spotlighting the dedication and contribution of these men and women that are integral to high school athletics.
